Hot? Maybe.
But being an old romantic fart, I thought it was adorably sweet. Especially the bit with the lime.
I’m not so old that I don’t remember little dating games with The Wife.

And now we all know how Leonard puts up with Sheldon. He’s had lots of practice!
Rush Limbaugh had a press conference?
Okay, so Sheldon was thinking of playing Rock Band. What was Dr. Mom thinking?
Didn’t she say she only had sex for procreation and scientific curiosity?
Well I’m creeped out. Leonard is living with his mother figure. I’m surprised he hasn’t built another hug machine.
That hug machine story really worked with Penny though.
I still want to know what happened to Leonard’s girlfriend, Stephanie, the doctor. He was getting lots of hugs from her. Course I prefer him to be with Penny, eventually.
We definitely need to meet Leonard’s father now. L is the most normal of the bunch, and we deserve to see where he got it from. I wonder who they would cast?
Sean Connery, or someone like him. Somebody so über-manly that the idea of him only having sex with someone as hot as Baranski to procreate causes even Sheldon to vapor-lock.
They should get Booker (George Clooney.) He was Jackie’s boyfriend for a while on Roseanne. But no, I’m sure he’s too A-list for a relatively unknown sitcom.
Brent Spiner
I just started with this show, don’t really know if that would work or not. Maybe they should save him for an episode where he plays himself and everyone explodes in the geeky bliss of his presence.
How about John Noble, the guy who plays the eccentric genius father on Fringe?
How about Chevy Chase?
His father’s an anthropologist, right? How about Jeff Goldblum? I find it hard to believe a man would stay in a marriage where the only sex is for procreation…Leonard’s dad must be getting some on the side.
It should be a short guy, or else Leonard is truly an anomaly. I like Goldblum’s geekiness, though. I was thinking a younger Elliott Gould, although he’s also too tall. Danny DeVito might make a good counter point to the mom, if he can pull a very different sort of character off. Or even a Woody Allen type (without the perv overtones, of course).
William Daniels is probably a bit too old for Leonard’s father, huh? He’d be perfect.
What about John Lithgow?
Bill Nye the Science Guy?
I think John Lithgow would be great, he’d do a sitcom and has great comedy instincts.
