I’ve been using efax for about 2 years. Lately people tell me they sent me faxes but I don’t receive them. Anyone else have this problem or other problems with this online fax service? Of course, when I had the fax machine hooked up to receive paper faxes, the same thing also happened occasionally.
It’s never happened to me and I have been using it for well over 2 years. My only nit pick is that I have been recieving more and more spam from them over the last year. . . but I guess that is expected when they give you something for “free”.
I occasionally have folks swear that they’ve FAXed me something that I never get, but every time I test it by FAXing something to myself (whether from computer or stand-alone FAX machine) it works fine. I think more often than not they’re just not putting in the area code, or their FAX machine isn’t set up to FAX to long-distance numbers.
Thanks for info. My experience is more like that of AHunter3 lately.
The only problems I’ve ever had with eFax were in trying to send a fax overseas. Everything here at home works just fine.
I have the paid efax service and have for some years. I occationally don’t get faxes that were sent, mainly during off peak hours, usually from one client that works from home at odd hours (i.e. 3am). Funny thing is I got efax BECAUSE he faxes at such odd hours and my wife has mild insomnia and the fax would wake her up (which ='s wake me up).
Since I work out of my home, and also sometimes at a remote site, or hotels or sometimes my car via cellular internet, efax has become very handy to have.
The junk faxes do happen, which I really hate because sometimes I get them when using the cellular connection ($ and long download time). but I don’t get that many and they come in waves (like 4 one week then nothing for the next 3).
I had two free incoming lines.
They recently (this month) dropped one of the lines for not being active enough.
Thanks for this bit of info. Maybe that’s the problem. Will check.
