Any recommendations for an organised crime themed strategy game?

I know that there are games out there like Mafia, the GTA series and Saints Row that do organised crime as a sandbox/mission style game, but are there any games out there that let you manage and run an organised crime empire as a strategy game?

I can’t think of any off hand and my searches online aren’t turning anything up.

Mob Rule - I’ve never played it, but my roommate owned it and seemed to get some value out of it.

If you would consider a bord game…http://www.kingofchicago.info/

If you would consider an old DOS game ported to TI calculators: DrugWars. A more recent version is called Dope Wars but is still offline.

Or, if you want to manage a base of henchmen and fend off Bond-like do-gooders in a Dungeon Master-type game, try Evil Genius.

It’s also a PC game. Though it’s from 1987.

I played the demo. It is kind of fun but a bit cartoonish. Gangsters seems to be more realistic; haven’t tried that one, though.

Came in to recommend:

Bootleggers
Razzia!
Family Business
Ca$h ‘n’ Gun$

Didn’t realize you meant computer/video games. But I’ll go ahead and recommend them anyway, since they are all fun games, even if they aren’t really what you’re looking for. (Bootleggers is the closest of the four.)

There’s also The Godfather Game, which isn’t that great, and is tricky to get a hold of, but is at least close to the theme you’re looking for.

I can attest that Gangsters is quite fun.
