Any site that has a record of weather conditions in the past?

Preferably a free site.

I’m interested in checking the exact date of an occurrence I was involved in last year. I have the general date in my memory, and I know that it was raining, but I’m not specifically certain of the date. Is there a site that will tell me what the weather was like fourteen months ago in my home town?

Weather Underground has some place to search via you zip code for a personal weather station (PWS) near you. Then you can go back by date. I don’t know how to find the starting point but I have one bookmarked where I can get the weather about two miles from my home.
