I tried posting this earlier, but my post didn’t make it, so, here goes again.
Is there a web site that lets you choose which date to get weather conditions in a certain city? I’ve tried using Google to get the weather conditions for Dallas, Oregon on 12/15 but so far all I can find is sites that let you look at today’s weather, and forecasts up to Monday. I need something that will let me look back in time, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.
The Farmer’s Almanac (almanac.com) has “today in weather history” dating back to 1994, with a search engine. Hope that helps!
The NCDC web site is a real pain to navigate (and often falls short of delivering what you need). However, they do link to the Weather Underground web site, from which you can maneuver around until you come to the weather for The Dalles, OR on December 15, 2003
To get there on your own, from the Home Page ( http://www.wunderground.com/ ):
Scroll down to Choose a State
Having picked your state, (in this case Oregon),
Scroll down to the hyperlink for your city (in this case, The Dalles) and select it.
Scroll to the middle of that page to the History & Almanac section (below the Current Conditions and above the Conditions Nearby)
then use the drop-down menus for the Detailed History to select the date you want.
Remember that you can look back in time, but it’s the weather and there are no guarantees. You can hope for the best, but there are forces at work here more powerful than the Farmer’s Almanac.
