I was born on 4-20! Thanks for listing those other guys, so I don’t have to share my birthday solely with Hitler anymore.
My boyfriend’s sister was born April 20, 1982 in India, and my former penpal was born April 20, 1981 in Latvia.

I’d rather be born on April 20, than, say, September 11.
But it’s a moot point, as I was born 163 days from the former, 19 from the latter.

Why do so many of us know Hitler’s birthday?
I am not suggesting we are all crypto-nazis here, but for Stalin, Mussolini, Churchill, and Napoleon’s birthdays - I’d have to look it up.
I suppose some might cite the Colombine Massacre or something, but I think before then it was common knowledge.
Was there some huge connection in the past? Was it marked in any way before?
That’s a darn good question. No other world history person’s birthday is as widely known as Hitler’s.
And he probably is the most biographed (neologism?) person ever, too.
Isn’t Napoleon as well?
