its only now that im realising all the metal i listened to growing up IS fucking great. maiden, slayer, love/hate, GnR.

I loved pre-bruce Maiden. I even have an Eddie Tattoo from around 1981. I’d have to say “Running Free” is my favorite song, with the runner up being “To Tame A Land”
I have the 5 Lp vinyl box set of Best Of The Beast, with the hardback book that came with it. I think about ebbay-ing it every now and then, but I can never bring myself to do it.

I’ve got an eddie tat from Infinite dreams single on my arm. It’s eddie riding a motorcycle holding the union jack, though I changed the union jack.

Ermm…I think you mean the Bruce Dickinson solo version w/ Godspeed, which appeared on Nativity in Black, the first of about a billion Black Sabbath tribute albums. (Bruce had quit the band two years ago.)
