Anyone remember the McDonalds promo?

Anyone remember the McDonalds promo where they sent you a mini record in with your news paper?

There was a melody on the record (In which I still remember much of), and if the chorus sang the whole song without screwing up, you won something?

Big Mac - Mc DLT - A Quarter Pounder with some Cheese,

Fillet-a-Fish - A Hamburger - A Cheeseburger - A Happymeal,

Mc McDonald’s Tasty Golden Fries, Both Regular and Larger Size…

When in the 80’s did they do this. I was still pretty young.

Mc Nuggets - Tasty Golden Fries, Both Regular and Larger Size…

Sorry!

AH! Nostalgia Attack!

And for dessert hot Apple Pies and Sundaes, Three Varieties…
I was just a wee tyke when that came out, my sisters and I listened to it on our Fischer-Price record player… you had to put it on top of a real record to get it to work.

The twisted folks at X-Entertainment do. Here, they give the lyrics to the song (which they claim “reads more like what a hungry person orders than a song.”) and make snide remarks. Also highlighted is the Arch Deluxe Line Dance, which looks more like moving around drunkenly to me.

Thanks Mobo!
On the link it said: “you heard Ronald sing about four lines before stuttering on his words and telling you that because of his f***up, you’re not winning no money. Lousy clown.”

He may have the first time as an example, but I distinctly remember a chorus singing it, and 'F’ing it up.

Am I crazy?

They sang it once through on the record correctly, then a chorus attempted to do it, failed, and you didn’t win anything.

The full page ad it came with in that paper had the correct words on it, and I listened to the record a few times looking at the paper, and memorized the whole dang thing. I still know it today, it’s pretty much my only special talent…and these darn kids today are too young even to remember it!! My one special talent, purposeless now!

I remember that.

Man I feel old.

Oddly enough, I remember exactly as much of the song as was posted in the OP.

(Some corrections in italics)

salad: chef or garden or a chicken salad oriental. Big big breakfast, egg mc-muffin, hot hot cakes and sausage, maybe biscuit bacon egg & cheese or sausage, danish?, hash browns too. And for dessert hot apple pies or sundaes three varieties, a soft serve cone, three kinds of shakes and chocolatey-chip cookies and to drink a coca-cola, diet coke, an orange drink or sprite, a coffee, decaf too, or low-fat milk, also an orange juice. I love mc donalds, good time great taste, and I get this all at one place.

From memory, so it’s not perfect. I think the danish might be another “maybe”.

oops, I didn’t see the link with the word already. I bet you’re all impressed now though

I don’t remember that but I do remember this.
Bun seed sesame a on onions pickles cheese lettuce sauce special patties beef all two.
Say that in less than 5 seconds to the manager of any Mc Donalds and get a free Big Mac.

So what was:

Big Mac, Filet O Fish, Quarter Pounder, French Fries,
Icy Cokes, Thick Shakes, Sundaaaaaaes, and Apple pies

?

What the hell is that? Wasn’t it “Two-all-beef-patties-special-sauce-lettuce-cheese-pickles-onions-on-a sesame-seed-bun”?

The other thing is the exact same thing backwards.

And if you could say it backwards in less then 5 seconds you would get a free big mac.

Actually it was the first big mac I ever ate. (I had always been and still am suspicious about the “special” sauce.)
