McPromo of the Early 1970's

I’m hoping someone might recall any McD’s jingles from the 1970’s. Ideally, I’m trying to recall a spoof of this jingle popular amongst us kids…maybe from camp? Not sure how it started…

I may be confusing two McD’s jingles, but I’m WAGging that the jingle may have started like this: "McDonalds, Mc Mc burger! McDonalds, Mc Mcfries. McDonalds, Mc Mc…?

Well, this may be one candidate jingle (above), anyhow! But the line I recall from the spoof (when we were kids) going around at the time said something about “french fries between your toes; hamburgers up your nose…”

Any crazy kids of the 1970’s recall this? It’s amazing how no one knows how these things get started; yet, every kid at the time would have known this silly spoof…spread simply by word of mouth!

Anyone care to WAG with me?

The one we sang was:
McDonald’s is the place,
They serve you ratlesnakes!
Hamburgers up your nose.
French fries 'tween your toes.
The day that I went there.
they served me underwear.
McDonald is your kind of place.

Three variations found here.

Inky, I’m a thinky that’s what we used to sing, yeah! Ah, what memories! - Jinx

The oldest gingle I remember is

“two beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese…
…pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun…”

I’m not sure if that dates back to the 1970’s though. I do remember being in elementary school and hearing all sorts of parodies of that jingle.

Anyone remember the commercial where the kid says it backwards? I watched so much TV as a kid that I can still say it that way from memory! Comes in handy when someone thinks they’re cool and can remember it (forwards).

Happens, oh, twice a decade or two…

Two all beef patties. All beef.

This is in my head, and I forgot my own phone number the other day.
