I was thinking about old Liberal today - he and I had a few run ins ages ago, but overall I grew to like the guy and he certainly added a lot to this board. Despite his many dramatics (or perhaps because of…) he was a part of the furniture, really.
So I did a quick search and his last post was at the end of December. Anyone seen or heard from him? I hope he’s alright.

Well, I would have thought that if he were to stop posting he would make a grand announcement. Or at least say something. Not just disappear without a trace.
I know he’s had ongoing health issues, so I hope it hasn’t gotten worse.

I just noticed that he is no longer registered. Which means he lost his “Charter Member” status and is now a “Guest”.
For whatever reasons he held that status very highly. This is worrisome.

I’m concerned because he’s on a benzodiazepine. While they always make you feel better at first, they can really mess you up later. I know from experience.
I’m hoping his doctor was smart enough to get him on an SSRI, as he should be able to tolerate the initial side effects better now that he’s on something. Once you get past that, a few months, it’s a lot better.
One of the drawbacks of message boards is that is that you get familiar with someone, interact with them for quite a time, sometimes years, and then they up and disappear. You’re worried, but you have absolutely no way of checking to see if they’re OK. Bummer, huh?
