Apology to december for not extending benefit of the doubt

december;

In a recent thread started by you about the guilt through rejection of offered peace proposals of Chairman Arafat in the current Israeli/Palestinian conflict I overreacted a tad bit.

I would like to retract the harsh words I used and I acknowledge that independent of your previous admittance to anti-Muslimism my strong remarks were ill attached to the OP in question.

Sincerely

Sparc

The posting of this apology in the Pit is due to:
Previous exchanges between december and various board members including me in GD do not fulfill the standard I believe we should hold in that forum.

The thread in question has been replaced with a similar debate that I feel serves as a more balanced examination platform for the question at hand. Therefore posting a retraction in the thread would only unnecessarily resurrect a by now redundant debate.

I feel that december’s level of politeness and decorum, even while delivering the most inflammatory, biased, crap deserves a public apology when I do not stick to the same standards (which I guess is rarely).

I do not by this intend to invite to a Pitting of anything or anyone, nor do I wish to examine the issue of december’s or anyone else’s anti-Muslimism at this point in time.

Do what you will. I have said what I felt was needed and honorable in the light of everyone’s right to hold whatever opinion they might, however much I disagree.

Thank you, Sparc. That was gracious of you.

Regardless of the cirmcumstances, you should be lauded for your concession.

But not for printing FIVE PARAGRAPHS in small type!!! Now I need stronger glasses!! :smiley:

Sorry about the small type. I didn’t want the explanation to be more visible than the significantly more essential apology. :wink:
