Apparently "Bones" is back. Do we care?

Got to love the arrest at gun point for ‘credit card fraud’ -

That part was actually pretty good. It would be a fun spin-off series to have them do other voices.
Like Walter Mitty meets Quantum Leap. They could get into all sorts of wacky fun.

I actually think they should spin off the older couple that killed the guy - that would be a fun show to watch.

“Well, ya know --”
“Oh sod off you”

Well, Cam had been giving the cop a bunch of shit, so I am sure at that point he was happy to be able to pull down on her. You would think a former ME who works closely with the FBI could communicate better with the police.

Cam’s refusal of ANY help and especially not calling the lawyer was tiresome to the max. She thought she could take care of it herself?? Get real.

That’s just setting us up for

Cam and Eristu getting married

And what’s the plan for after they cancel Almost Human after three episodes?

I’ve got it: Pelant is Red John.

This show is getting beyond tiresome… but I’m still watching it. Sick puppy.

For all the time and energy they put into the Pelant story, that was a pretty weak ending. I get the feeling they had no idea how to end it so they just threw that together to get it over with.

it was the same weak ending to the gumagumball and the grave digger debacles as well… this show is much better as bottles, not as a case.

I haven’t seen the episode yet, but let me add THANK GOD!!!
What a tired old boring story. It’s already been said, but this show works best with each show solving a mystery death of the week. Stop trying to make a serial out of it.

What I didn’t understand was why they didn’t suspect Pelant was behind Cam’s identity theft problems. That’s just the kind of thing he does, and nobody considered it for a moment.

Lots of shows do that now and I hate it!

<Thelma raises hand>

I did. Whatever happened with that anyway? Did they just drop it? What was the point?

And now Tempe and Seely get to plan a wedding. Great.

Immediate red flags and sirens went off in my head. Why do we believe Pelant is dead? This guy is good at faking a lot of stuff. A bullet proof vest and some dye. Bones and Booth quickly leave the scene. No one else is around. Maybe next week’s episode starts off with the cleanup crew coming in to get the body and … no body. The stupid story line continues.

But it could be the writers are tired of the story and just wanted it gone. Lots of signs of writer fatigue. Maybe they are setting up for The Next Big Bad that Pelant warned them about. And no flunky of the week. (Yeah?)

Stupid of the week: Pelant is this master of monitoring everybody anywhere and yet he doesn’t know where Booth is until he walks in? Please. If anything this would add more to all this being a Pelant setup.

This is how poor the show has gotten: The next most memorable thing about the episode is that they ran a Ford commercial during the break. Last week Fords are crap, this week they are a sponsor. Network blackmail? Run an ad with us or we slam your product.

(Would Hodgins get his money back if Pelant was dead? In Bones world, it could happen.)

to the last line - Angela now has access to Pelant’s system - its not unreasonable for her to be able to reverse that damage - and fix Cam.

Odds are nieither will ever be spoken of again.

I’m more bugged that Pelant was able to walk around the jeffersonian enough to mess with the bones, etc - how many other workers in that builidng have such a disfigured and immediately recognizable face.

I also don’t buy his “I tried to shape the explosion to protect your hearing, but no one is perfect” - none of that rang true - it was so much “bullshit”.

I’m not convinced that

Pelant is dead

The ending was much to quick, sudden, and non-satisfying. Besides, everyone knows that…

…the first death never takes.

I don’t disaree - but they spent a long camera shot on his ‘dead eyes’ -maybe too long.

I had really hoped that Bones would be the one to shoot him - without hesitation or explanation.

I believe that Pelant is dead; and here’s why…

because they added the last minute explanation that there was a (possibly female) serial killer out there; that did the early murders. It makes for a better show to search for an unknown enemy than a super duper genius like Pelant was. Thank God he’s gone!

Reruns of… uh, what dramas do that have that aren’t going down the tubes… hmm… think Sleepy Hollow will still exist by then?

Anyway, yeah, the whole conclusion to that Pelant arc was like “that’s it? thanks for wasting my time”.

Okay. The wedding.

For a season or two, Tempe seemed almost human, but now the writers have caused her to revert to her clueless, socially inept self. “I didn’t want to invite any of you lonely interns to my wedding because it would just make you sad.” And to the priest, “We are sleeping together…that means having sex.”

All gone Pelant. All gone Cam’s identity theft problem. Ryan O’Neal probably should have his eyes done.

I like the idea of finding documentation that Emily Dickinson wasn’t a virgin. That was the most interesting part of the show.
