Morning all. Woke up early and in a sour mood, there is a rather horrific story over in the “Evil M…F…'s in the News” thread that disturbed me as I was waking up, which led to a horror story I read this week , which led to thinking about Gaza and the suffering there and then general worldwide suffering…sorry, that’s a rather depressive way to start a morning, I’ll try to do better. At least we have a nice clear day here, temperature is supposed to reach 60F, and I get to soccer coach my 7 year old team, which is always fun. Will try to get some Friday 4x points shopping in a Kroger and break fast at the Sunny Street Cafe, so that should get my mind off the world’s problems for a bit.
If you want to read the horrific story I mentioned, it is here; but don’t say I didn’t warn you: Omnibus Evil MFers in the news thread - #842 by Slithy_Tove
Did do some vacation planning last night. Thinking that I’ll fly to New Orleans for a couple of days, then take the Amtrak all the way to Washington DC, a couple days there, and then AMTRAK to Chicago for a couple more days and then fly home. Costs are a bit higher than I expected (hotel taxes are ridiculous in some places) but still doable. Probably late June/Early July, haven’t booked anything yet but am getting there.
Sari, people who are critical and nasty all the time probably will disturb your calm more that they are worth (and you need all the calm time you can get). Hope son keeps recovering. As for the cancer argument, if they have to remove part of you by medical means, no matter how small or safe a procedure, if they want to call it cancer I’m not arguing with them…just my thinking, YMMV.
{{{shoe}}}, sorry to hear your chain got jerked so hard. Take care.
OK, onward into the day. Pancakes and bacon with a large OJ will provide the motivation to get me moving about here in a little bit. Have a good Firday all.
