Sorry, but I think I’m going to disallow bids for packages, like ‘20 points for the penny and the dime’, on the grounds that they make it too difficult to determine second highest bids for items that are won individually. If you mention these in your PM, they will be disregarded.
The fish stick example makes sense, in the absence of any non-mentioned bonus rules involving fish sticks and ketchup packages. 
And IOUs are settled after all other rule evaluations, including special bonuses and penalties.
To be completely honest I’m sitting in 4th right now so a lot of people can touch me. The only people playing who are in worse shape then me are you and Mhaye. Your crusade against me worked.
What we should have done, which would have been really, really cool ::
Name a Rule Number you wish to use as the valuation schedule for your bids.
You can not name a rule you have not seen.

If you win the bid, you will only pay the price of the next lowest bid. An IOU of the next lowest bid will be issued to you, and will also be valuated on the rule you picked when you first placed your bid.
That would have been INCREDIBLE.

I did. I was gonna wait to respond until the game was over since there is still a lot of game to go. Phi’s account going into probate could really shake things up depending on how people bid. That silver dollar can change the course of the game for one or two people.
Edit: I will say you don’t have to be sorry. Things get emotional in games. I alway try to remember that it’s just a game and I don’t take anything that happens durring the course of the game too seriously. Outside the game everyone is still friends even if inside it we are at each others necks.
You and I have been different all game. I’ve Sinjin and Mahaloth solidly a head of me. The only thing I can think of is our definitions of official names differ.
I agree though after this thing ends I am looking forward to the recap I think some interesting things are going to come to light.
I figured out what the discrepency used to be (I was counting the plurilization), but I figured that had been fixed.
I have you ahead of Mahaloth by a hair. Maybe you are calculating your bonus differently than I am?
I don’t quite understand. There’s no problem with placing bids as high as you want to compete with other players. The worst thing that can happen is that you have IOUs for more points than you earn and end up scoring 0. Remember that the items that you win in bidding will be added to your score BEFORE the IOUs are taken out, as well.
