What happened to this comic book–featuring a young beauty who can really fight the bad guys? I used to see it advertised in the Archie digests…
She was the human companion of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, wasn’t she?
If I remember correctly, she was a reporter with a less-than-kind boss who didn’t give her much respect, either. But then, when you hang around teenage mutant ninja turtles who from time to time destroy your boss’s expensive equipment . . .
I thought I heard about an upcoming TMNT movie, but the IMDB has nothing.
This comic probably died off just as all sorts of other comics die. I say its pretty rare to have any comic that has any real longevity. The TMNT franchise has been on the decline ever since the second movie or so, if not sooner.
Heh
They are returning back to the roots

The first public look at the computer generated animated for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show has appeared online. In a posting made to his Planet Racers, TMNT co-creator Peter Laird showed his readers two screen grabs from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pilot created by John Woo and Terence Chang’s Rainbow Studios.
“I thought you all might enjoy a bit of a look at the short CGI TMNT pilot recently produced by Rainbow Studios in collaboration with Mirage Studios,” said Laird on the site. The images were taken from a VHS copy of the show, and Laird promises to be revealing more looks at the pilot in future updates. Bear in mind that there is also a CGI Turtles movie project in development, and the quality of the animation in the feature film could be higher, or different designs for the teenage reptiles could be involved. Nevertheless, it gives us our first look of the new TV show and perhaps indicates why Woo and Chang believed that the concept of CGI Turtles was deemed worthy of a feature film project too.
There’s another article on the new TMNT movie here.
As for the comic, I wouldn’t be surprised if April had a spinoff, six or so issue long mini-series of her own. She was, after all, really hot.
April O’Neil? The April O that ran around with the Ninja Turtles? Had a comic of her own? She was, to quote
KKBattousai, she was hot? In that yellow jumpsuit? Intriguing…
What other comics do you all read might I ask…
