I’m a 3 month babe in the SDMB woods, and no one’s been nasty to me yet, but I’m pretty hesitant in my posts so far. Just be yer own self. I’ve found the people here to be pretty decent. If you say something someone takes offense to, there’s plenty of room to discuss it. If you have the time, read as much of the backlog as you can. Just don’t get hooked…
Stranger, I am pretty new here myself and I have been tossed an occasional bone, had a couple questions answered, and generally avoided having anyone rip me out a new asshole. I have no fear of posting, I feel the more and varied opinions and answers to questions makes for a more entertaining reading experience, especially for the lurkers out there who never post. New blood, in a family or a message board, livens things up. You have to kind of train your eyes to skim over the incestuous bickering and in-jokes and pick out the good stuff. I wouldn’t count on making new friends, but you will become hopelessly hooked on both boards.
