The problem with lists like this is I always leave out somebody who really, really should be included. I think I’d like to get to know Oakminster – we’d probably become very good friends who piss each other off constantly. I have tremendous respect for Der Trihs; would like to get to know what he’s really like. I think it would be fun to sit with Lissa, nurse a beer for several hours and just listen to her talk. She’s one insightful, funny lady.
Oh, crap! And FairyChatMom! :smack: Who’s real name I actually know because we’ve exchanged e-mails. Actually, it’s FCDad I REALLY wanna’ hang out with. The dude has 600 board feet of walnut, and anybody who has ever drooled over a Garrett Wade catalog knows what I’m talkin’ about! But FCM is lots of fun. I want to spend a lazy afternoon on the FairChats’ new boat, when they get one, which they will, because once you’ve owned a boat, you can’t live without it.
Ooo! I only really started noticing him lately, but I’d love to sit and have a long chat with Skald the Rhymer. I only noticed him because of all his CS threads, but he seems like a really fun guy to sit and argue with/debate about merits of various books and movies.
I’ve always thought **Anaamika ** would be an interesting conversation partner for me; we have enough interests in common that we’d have things to talk about, but disagree about enough things so that things would be interesting.

Bob, I was just thinking that. I like the gun people and you’re one of them who stands out, but what are we going to do? Email and chat about… guns? A conversation works better with more than two of us, which leads to the boards rather than email.
I think I’d get along real well with catsix, Tripler, and **Crafter Man ** in person for the gun thing too (yeah, and lots of other people, and for lots of other reasons) but it’s so awkward to just start a random conversation with a stranger. (Well, not you Tripler, you’re more of a stranger conversation with someone random, and that’s oddly easy!)
