BiblioCat and I have been ships passing every-so-close in the night, but never quite catching up with each other. I already kinda hang out with KitchenWench via email, and VunderBob, too, although he’s been sorely neglecting his email duties lately. ::pout::
OTOH, I attend as many dopefests as I can, and have had the privilege of hanging out with lots of cool dopers.
There are several groups of Dopers I’d like to know better. I’d like to go to a beerfest with the usual crowd that show up in beer threads: Homebrew, Stranger On A Train, August West, Clurican, pulykamell, RYBTP, etc. I’d like to go to a gun show with the aforementioned non-psycho gun nuts, especially if we can get **Martini Enfield ** across the pond. (Bob, that would be Sampiro, and I’m flattered.) I got to meet QtM recently, so I can scratch him off my list. Then there’s the group I list under “Not Your Kind Of People” whom I’d really like to know better: Anaamika, monstro, matt_mcl, BobLibDem, Swampy, Miller, Dio, and an unbelievably long list of people who aren’t of my ethnic, social, cultural, etc. background. These people always make me look at things a little bit differently thanks to their postings, and I think I could learn a lot by sitting down and talking with them over a beer.
Oh, and I’d also like to have a beer with What Exit? after my Dodgers stomp his Yankees in the World Series sometime!
We really need an All-Planet Dopefest so I can meet everybody and not be ashamed I left them off this hastily typed list.
