Arrested Development may be returning!

I’ve been expecting the worst after two wonderful seasons of my all-time favorite (low-rated) TV show. But here’s the first good news I’ve heard about the future of Arrested Development, and it is REALLY good news:

Fantastic!

The cigarette I just lit up has gone from a nicotene supplying nature to a post coital one thanks to the news.

Superb!!

Well, it’s sort of weird article, but oh please oh please oh please…!

So what does twins mean? A spin-off or an early premiere so the season is extra-long?

I assumed they meant two more 22-episode seasons (a 3rd and 4th).

That’s what the article said. It’s amazing how happy this makes me. And yet, not amazing at all considering how frickin’ sweet this show is.

Two more seasons! That’s so much better than I could have hoped for. I’m off to do a happy dance.

The Fox website says it is returning this summer, but I don’t follow these things closely enough to know whether that means anything substantial.

The story went on to say that it’s only one more season for now, not definitely two. Still, I’ll be glad to have it back and for now I’ll assume it’ll do so well that it will go on past that.

I’ll take one more season :D. Though it did say they may be moving the time slot. Hopefully not to some horrible time. It’d be nice to have it Thursday at 9, after the O.C. or something.

Reruns.

I have no idea how the tv industry works, not sure they even do, but going out and giving a show two seasons would seem weird to me. I would expect them to give them one and see how it goes before giving the second-especially a show on the bubble like this. I hope they do get 2, I hope they last 5, but time will tell.

Unless Jason just got married and his wife is expecting??? twins?

He’s been married for a couple of years. He actually did talk about trying to have a kid when he appeared on Conan, but here he was responding to a question about the show, so I don’t think it involves the wife at all. I guess he heard they were being renewed for two years, but later it was decided it’d only be one.

Syndication usually means 100 episodes. With 22 episodes in season three, they’d only have 62 of them. They’d need two more years beyond that to get there.

Sweet. I love that show. I would think that, in this day and age, it’d be worth making another season just for the DVD sales.

I also love that the phrase “lit up like a banana stand” was in the article.
