So did I. Even after he was disarmed (heh), I figured it was just some sort of secret plan between Ollie and Malcolm. Malcolm’s supposed to be a bad-ass martial artist, and Oliver handed him his ass way too easily for it to be real.
Yeah, a lot of this last episode wasn’t particularly convincing to me… Malcolm cleverly ambushes Nyssa and her troops, but doesn’t bother having anyone approach from the rear to cut off their escape, etc. And as for the LofA politics, who cares? We’ve never gotten a clear enough explanation of who precisely they are, what they do, and how they have an inexhaustible supply of quasi-effective ninjas no matter how many have already been killed, to really care one way or the other.
Could it be William’s mom in the grave? Explains why Felicity wouldn’t be there, and since Barry knows the whole story it sort of explains his presence.
Brian
Felicity was there…she was in the limo Ollie gets in after the visit.
I meant actually at the grave
Brian
probably didn’t have wheelchair access.
Oh boy, Oliver’s worlds were colliding this week. I was cringing for him in that scene where his baby mama was meeting his ex-girlfriend, Laurel, whom he was cheating on when he was with said baby mama, and his fiancée (or not), Felicity, who is pissed he didn’t tell her about the kid. While Diggle and Thea watch in awkward silence. That was rough.
The visiting hero–the woman with the magic necklace–was a little lame. I take it her character, Vixen, has an animated series that the Arrow shows up in–but this is her first appearance on this show.
I thought they took out Dahrk a little too easily, but I’m going to assume he will find a way to regain his powers.
Malcolm is such a bad person. I’m glad Thea was finally saying ‘enough.’
It was great/sad when Felicity walked out on Oliver.
I’m about ready to dump this show. Last week, we had the team trying to “tail” someone by following it with wholly inconspicuous green dirt-bikes doing trick jumps. This week we saw Vixen appear with a radically altered storyline…now she’s from Detroit. OK, fine, we even got a nice establishing shot of the the Ren Cen building from across the river in Windsor. Then at one point in the episode, she says she sent some research back to a colleague at Detroit University. WTF? How many people are there that don’t know that Detroit is in Michigan (many many people think it’s the capital). So why not use the name of an actual university with some renown? Like the University of Michigan? If not, at least use a name of a real fucking university…Detroit University? It’s like they don’t even want to bother writing the damn show at all.
Is the Flash and Arrow on hiatus for a month ?
Declan
Yes, The Flash comes back March 22 and Arrow comes back the next day. Legends of Tomorrow still has an episode scheduled for this week and next week before itself going on a two-week break.
Thanks Terminus
Thank god Agents of Shield starts back up next week, with three DC’s out of my viewing line up. I hate waiting for new eps.

This show has taken to borrowing villains from The Flash to be any good. (Also breaking up Olicity.) Bree Larvin was a better fit on Arrow anyway. They’re more of a challenge here since you can’t shoot individual bees with arrows. Plus the Canary Cry was actually useful. Maybe they could also borrow the Banshee effect from Supergirl?
Mr Terrific filled in the Felicity role for Team Arrow really well. Arguably better than Felicity ever has. When is he getting a mask?
Wow; backhand full of knuckles on that praise…
But, anyway, how long has Diggle had a code name?
I think it was near the beginning of this season, on one of their evening patrols they mentioned he needed a code name and pretty soon after he started using one.
I liked Curtis a lot in this ep. I’m not a fan of mopey Felicity.
I don’t remember bee girl from Flash. Is that Beth from Walking Dead?
She was the metahuman-of-the-week when Ray and Felicity came to visit Central City. At least she can be credited with being from where Ray got the idea to go smaller with the A.T.O.M. suit.
Guess we know who is in the grave now.
Though what Laurel asked Ollie to promise is the big question
Sounds like Earth-1 Laurel is more than just mostly dead:
Brian
So that’s whom they’re going with to be in the grave. Maybe they can get word to Sara somehow and she take Laurel’s body back to a time when the Lazarus Pit was still active. Then John Constantine can pay another visit because bloodlust. Or maybe they’ll just turn the show into Felicity and Friends.
According to reports,
Katie Cassidy was seen filming with the Flash crew.
I heard she will be playing her Earth 2 doppelganger.
There was a lot to like in this episode, but it was hampered by SO MUCH STUPID.
So your nearly invincible foe is finally defeated because you smash is magic idol. Do you:
(a) Ground the pieces to dust and scatter them to the wind
or
(b) Reassemble all of it, except for one bit, and then hide that one bit not particularly well, and put the rest of it on display in your not-very-secret lair?
I mean, come ON!!! Sheesh.
The irritating thing is you could change what happened just slightly and have it be a fine episode… the pieces of the idol are all in an evidence room at the police station, so first someone gets them from there and reassembles them, then Darkh discovers that a piece is missing, which was (cleverly) stolen by one of Team Arrow, but they were unable to destroy it, so they hid it…
Probably still a bit of stupid there, but several orders of magnitude less, and you can still hit most of the same story beats. Grrr.
