Art Circuses

While I was visiting my mom, I drove up to Phoenix to visit my father in law and his partner, and the four of us went to Barnum’s Kaleidoscape. This seems to be Barnum & Bailey’s answer to Cirque de Soleil…

I enjoyed it very much… but it was very expensive!! $20 for the cheap seats (us) and $50 for the fancy velvet couches ringside.

So has anyone been to this one, or CdS? What do you think? Better than the regular circus? Personally I liked it much better than the regular one because I get all worried about the animals in cages and stuff… but this one only had some horses and trained geese.

I’ve been to 2 live Cirque du Soleil performances (Mystere in Las Vegas and Quidam when it passed through Dallas) and own 3 videotapes and 1 DVD of their performances. I also have 3 CdS posters on my walls. Not to mention the 5 CDs of CdS music. I’m a bit of a fan.

The performances are just jaw-droppingly amazing. Anyone who hasn’t seen one yet, go. FInd shows, locations and times at http://www.cirquedusoleil.com . The site also has Real Video previews of their shows and the Alegria movie.

Check it out, y’all…it’s unreal.

Nope… but I wanna go!!! I wanna go!! Please!!! Please!!! I promise I will be good!
