Ask a paraplegic girl.

Plymouth, Montserrat.

R Hiram Studebakker III.

Not a clue.

How is that pronounced?

How did you end up without the ability to use your legs (I assume that is what you mean by being paraplegic)?

Welcome back!

I fell backwards off a boat, leaving me a T12 incomplete paraplegic. I can move my legs a small amount but not enough to walk except with a walking frame. I can also feel parts of my legs.

How old were you when this happened?

Sorry if these questions seem rude, but I’m kind of abrupt that way.

How do you drive your Citroen C2?

It was 22 months ago, I was 16.

I have special hand controls which connect to the accelerator and brakes. It is an automatic, unusual for a C2.

Pray-lines.

No, no it’s fine.

What brings you to Rutherglen?

My Dad got a new job nearby and the whole family are Glaswegians so it seemed natural.

Right, makes sense. What’s the posh part of Rutherglen called?

Burneside? Oh you are the weakest link, goodbye

Good call. You have to deal with us low lifes. Or go elsewhere, as you suggested you would.

But I’ll give you this - Burnside was the answer I was looking for.

So you are still in the two years post-injury and your spinal cord suffered only bruising? Have you seen any improvement in your time since the accident? Are you doing any rehab work now? What is your official prognosis?

You know what? I’m embarrassed for the way this is unfolding.

Grab the fucking pitchforks and torches.

I decided to give jaymac1 the benefit of the doubt from her original post.

I think the rest of you are deplorable for not doing the same.
