Do you not understand that Manningham-Buller believes that Al Qaida is responsible for the 9/11 attacks? And that this fact of responsibility does not change whether you believe the attacks were a crime, and act of war, a terrible inconvenience, or the worst thing ever to happen to America?

Bin Laden is responsible for the 9/11 attacks. The first plane flying into the North Tower, I will allow for the element of suprise. The second plane flying into the South Tower, I will give the FAA, NORAD, and the rest of the United States government the benefit of the doubt. That the third plane flew into the Pentagon, supposedly one of the most secure building on Earth, indicates that some in the United States government knew of the 9/11 attacks.

It matters because if Bush gave evidence to the Taliban then we would know that there was in fact evidence. Bush did not even need to give evidence to the Taliban, just a neutral third party. If Bush gave the evidence to the publisher of The New York Times and then carefully written articles were published then we would know that there was in fact evidence and we would know the substance of the evidence if not the details, if not the evidence outright. Even this would be disputed by Truthers; however, there would at least be a link from the reporter to the editor to the publisher to the President with the evidence.

None of this of course addresses the heart of your beliefs, that lizards rule the world. So I shouldn’t even address this. But it’s silly so I will.
What makes you say it was so secure? I’ll grant you it’s hard to walk in there. But to be protected against aerial attack it would need layers of air defense. It’s the worlds largest office building in one of the most built up areas in the country. It’s also basically in the flight path of Reagan National Airport with hundreds of commercial planes flying close by minutes from landing. There are no layers of air defense (HIMAD or SHORAD). It would be obvious if there were. Some was brought in after 911. You again show you have no idea what you are talking about. You obviously don’t know the D.C. area.

It’s the location of the Department of Defense, it’s the world’s largest office building, and it’s located near Washington D.C. The White House and the Capitol are under prohibited airspace. Shouldn’t the Pentagon be under prohibited airspace as well?

Exactly. And what do you think protected airspace means? It’s a circle on a map that if you cross into you’ll get in trouble from the FAA. Not a line of death that if you cross hidden lasers will knock you out of the sky.

And mobile SAM batteries protected the Pentagon from 9/12 until around the first of the year. Those wouldn’t be needed if the building had its own.
And National was the only airport that was closed for a long period of time. Into October iirc. It took them a while to figure out the security issues.
Unless they installed the mobile SAMs to make you think the Pentagon didn’t have its own so you wouldn’t be asking “Why didn’t they use the Pentagon SAMs to shoot down the hijacked airplane.”
Of course, there’s also the question of why the Bush admin “let” the Pentagon attack proceed. After all, they’re risking the possibility that someone who they’ll need in the upcoming war is going to get whacked. Unless they warn everyone important to stay out of that particular wing* on 9/11, in which case they’re adding bunches of people who might talk.
*Or whatever the proper name for a fifth of a Pentagon is.
