Slept late-ish and so far got comforter washed in in the dryer and the sheets from our bed just beeped at me from the washer that they were done. I think I will also wash towels later. Need to go fold clean clothes from yesterday. I think we are just going to hang at the house today. It is going to be hot.
I will work out later also. Dinner is beer butt chicken if the damn thing ever defrosts!
well, let’s see, the chimney and deck need serious attention and possible rebuilding, the house is drafty, and the garage door opener should be replaced. Not to mention it needs a total repainting and reflooring and probably new windowing.
well, the yard is big enough for one. Maybe I should put one in and raise the asking price? :smack:
Home from deheathenization and have had N.O.L. Now I be chillin’ for a little bit before I suit up to go funeralize. I shall read “The Prayers of The People” at the funeral. I foresee a little bit of choke time in my near future.
I’m sorry, flytrap, if I was received as rude or obnoxious. I thought you were being silly
eta - nap was attempted - too humid. Plus Nature called twice during that span.
Have had a busy day. Made waffles for breakfast, have done 4 loads of laundry and put other stuff away. Did dishes and cleaned some in both the kitchen and bath. Also set aside some stuff to be donated. And took a nap. Need to get some work done, then, if it doesn’t rain in the meantime, I’ll go outside and water.
I’m sleepy again. Will probably give in to that for a few and then get up and work.
Home from funeralizin’. Actually been home for a while. First thing was get out of my funeral suit and then take a shower. Then I had me a roast beast sammich. Plus also, I made up a beastloaf for Tuesday’s dindin. Go Me!
Tommy’s memorial service was beautiful. I’m sure there were around three hunnert people there. Bear in mind we are a smallish church. A full house is a hunnert and sixty. We can shoehorn a hunnert and eighty in the pews. Today it was all that plus draggin’ out every chair in the place. YP’s Homily was very thoughtful, funny and a great homage to Tommy. To my credit I only choked up a little bit while readin’ The Prayers of The People. I did however get all choked up when our music director sang Precious Lord Take My Hand. The link is Mahalia Jackson singin’ because well, it’s just good! All in all a wonderful tribute to a great man.
Forgive me if this is a repeat, but some people from the church just left our house. While they were here my grandma told them that the reason that they don’t go to church anymore is because they don’t drive anymore and must go where I go. :dubious: This kind of bummed me out because it’s certainly not true. I would take them anywhere they wanted to go. But every time that I asked them if they wanted to go to church they would make up some kind of silly excuse about why they couldn’t go. I realize that this isn’t their fault, per se, but I don’t want the church folks to think I’m holding them hostage here.
I told them as much when we were walking out and they said they understood, but honest to goodness, I’m doing the best I can here!!!
