It’s sorta like that one, unique girlfriend you had in highschool. You know the one I mean. The MMP is kinda like her. You may not understand her, and as soon as you get involved you realise its very easy to get sucked deeper and deeper into the madness. But just like that one girlfriend, as long as you keep playing along you’ll definitely enjoy the ride.

They have improved the scanners, or at least the upright ones, as the noises have gotten less severe. The sound was more thrumming rather than pounding. N ow I just need to look at the images to guess what the doc will say I need.
I fell asleep in the MRI machine for my brain but not for my back. I was in too much pain for my back. I found the noise to be oddly soothing.
Speaking of pet pictures…did I ever show youse guys what The Terrible Iggy Dammit did*?

Well, chocolate works for me. I’d say use whatever works for you. It’s the MMP, not a frat house… open doors, all the way to the kitchen.
I slept today. Normally this wouldn’t be news, but I had a pretty horrible weekend* and didn’t sleep at all on Sunday night, so it was nice to wake up after more than one hour uninterrupted sleep. Uninterrupted sleep is one of those things those of us who are blessed with it take completely for granted but damn, it sure sucks when you don’t get it!
- I don’t wanna explain because I’m still at the phase where if I think about it I get worked up again. Family was involved. I want a divorce. No, not from my nonexistent husband: from She Who Thinks I’m Her Husband, aka my mother.

Mooom, those trivet things look great. Do you ship to the UK? Actually, I had a couple of them years ago that my mum gave me when I moved house. She still has some that she inherited from my grandmother, they’re almost like family heirlooms by now.

Whew - it certainly got chatty last night after I logged off…
rosie, yes, they’re washable. I’ve used the same yarn to make dishcloths (I know someone mentioned those upthread) and the only issue I’ve encountered regards colorfastness. The particular batch of green that I bought some time back would wring out green for several uses. Oddly, the red seemed to be better at not bleeding.
**BooFae **- it’d be cheaper for you to learn to crochet. Too bad you’re not coming to DC instead of going to the left coast. Poor planning on your part, I’d say. 
I see most of you did a good job answering questions in my absence - and I thank you! As has been said, once a Mumper, forever a Mumper. You are always welcome back as long as you remember to use a coaster. We tolerate a lot, but wet glasses on the furniture is a floggable offense. Or it would be if we hadn’t lost the cat o’nine tails…

Meanwhile, I’m not happy that I’m up this early. I fully intended to go back to sleep after **FCD **left for work. Then the coughing fit hit. So I’m up. Shortly, I will don some garments appropriate for venturing forth in public and head out on a mission to find a mat for in front of the cat box, a pair of sandals for our cruise next month, some more cotton yarn, and something to cook up for supper.
