Sorry about the non-reportage. I did announce the result on another thread, but that was way after the fact to.
I lost. I did better than any other Democrat in our County (except the Governor, the only Dem who won), but still lost.
As an excuse for not posting, I will officially say I was very busy after the election setting up a private practice. I was, but the truth is, I just didn’t want to talk about it for a while.
I am still more than a little disappointed with my party. The local leadership was almost non-existant, and the all the State party did was send me a list of local addresses of registered voters (which I could and did get from the elections office and then promptly ignored because nothing is creepier than having a stranger knock on your door and then address you by your first name.) Meanwhile, the local and State Republican party was buying significant newspaper ad space for my rival.
Oh well, I am still working for my opposition, for a couple of more weeks at least, and my private practice is taking off. So all’s well that ends well.
