It’s a 15 year old SLC genericon. This year GOHs are Tim Powers and Charlie Vess.
It’s a terrific con. Absolutely the best programming I’ve ever seen, bar none, and it’s very popular among authors. For a medium-sized con, they’ve had some huge names. And Steve Jackson ran his very first Lego Pirates game there, as I recall. They also have a metric fuckton of gaming–it’s become a solid center for “Living —” games, and there are always outriders from SJG, Kenzer, and GW.
OK, looks like it should be fun. I must confess that my geekiness tends to run in a slightly different direction, but my son is heavily into anime and RPGs. He’d probaby have a terrific time there. Have fun, Andros, and enjoy the con.
