Attention Venture Brothers fans!

It’s super-science, anything is possible.

Don’t make me slap you with a trout, bouv. Out of all the implausible/improbable stuff that goes down on the show, you’re woried about something as trivial as fertilization?

This cracked me up. I never would have thought of them as sounding similar, but in a way they do.

Does anyone know if they’ll be posting these on the Adult Swim Video website before they air? Typically, the Cartoon Network puts the new Adult Swim shows on the web the Friday before they air, but I haven’t heard for sure whether or not they’re doing that for this season.

Yes, from what I’ve heard they will be doing the “Friday Night Fix,” as they call it (I think…) with the new VB. So you can watch them a night before they actually air, though I imagine if we start new threads on the episodes weekly (as I suspect we might…Hell, I’ll do it myself if no one else does) then we’ll make sure to keep anything said about the episode spoilered until it is actually done airing Saturday night.

Is there any way that soemone could do me the favor of building a time machine, going into the future, and bringing me back the Season 3 DVD set? Thanks. And while you’re at it, go ahead and grab the next 20 seasons or so, and I’ll get started on watching those.

Seriously, our copies of the first two seasons’ DVDs are practically worn out… every time someone comes over for dinner, my husband and I find out if they watch VB and then sit them down and make them enjoy them all!

Tonight is Venture Bros night at my friends house. I wonder how many episodes we can cram in?

Oh man, I went to my husband’s work and we used one of the labs to project it up on the screen. Several of us were there to watch it. GREAT episode. I won’t spoiler it for everyone, but 24 has the best line ever.

Who else watched it?

Yeah, I saw it. (It’s online at adultswim.com now in case anybody didn’t know).

So, are we to infer that in the escape raft Dr. Girlfriend admitted something to the effect that she was working for the guild to get The Monarch to stop arching Dr. Venture?

Just saw it. On TV that is. And none of the Ventures were even in it! Loved the opening credits. And the closing credits are animated now instead of just screen shots.

Their budget has gone up.

I was just commenting to my wife how, unlike shows such as “Family Guy” after an extended absence, I don’t feel like The Venture Brothers missed a beat during its time away. Just as great as it always was.

I can’t even tell you how happy I am that this show is back.

Eh… it was okay but it wasn’t a homerun like the first episode of season two was. I am looking forward to where they’re going with this set up for the new season.

Dr. Girlfriend confuses my sexuality.

I agree it wasn’t as good as the season 2 premier. But I like that they are taking chances, and I like the bits of back story we got. It was like Monarch: Year One.

Did anyone recognize the silhouettes performing the interrogation/crucible/trial thing? I knew one from the tape that the guild sent to Dr. Orpheus.

Anybody have an answer to my question back in post #30?

Revtim, I would say “yes”.

Yeah, I agree with vibrotronica.

I’m guessing she told him that she’d been spying on him for the guild.

I think it’s really funny that of all the men in The Venture Brothers, the guy in the giant butterfly suit is the only one capable of forming a meaningful, long-term relationship with a woman. Look at the list:

Rusty Venture – a few one-night stands plus some weird fling with Myra the psycho.
Brock Sampson – whores, random casual sex, and his totally fucked-up relationship with Molotov.
The boys – Utterly naive and clueless about girls.
Dr. Orpheus – Divorced because he put his work ahead of his wife.
Billy Quizboy – Still a virgin.
Mr. White – Hits on high school girls.

Even the minor male characters don’t know how to relate to women. Look at Bud Manstrong or Professor Impossible.

The Monarch, on the other hand, loves Dr. Girlfriend, clearly rocks her world sexually … and, over the course of the last season and a half, has learned to respect her. He’s actually more emotionally muture than any other guy in the series.

True. It seems the only area he’s “behind” in emotionally is with Dr.Venture. I was actually hoping in his flashback he would give the reason for why he hate shim so much, but nope. Although we did find out that the lab accident that disfigured Baron Ünderbeit was not actually Rusty’s fault, but The Monarch’s.

But you also reminded me of another thing I remembered. The Monarch’s flashback also proved that at most most of Myra’s story was right. I know there was confusion as to whether she really was an OSI agent, or an American Gladiator as Brock said who just went all crazy, and this episode proved she was part of OSI, as I had suspected (and I do think she’s the boys’ real mother, too. There’s a bit of Dean-ness in her face.)

And to be fair to White, he doesn’t just hit on any high school girl, he hits on Trianna. I mean, she’s cute enough by herself as an indy goth-girl, but in the episodes that also have Kim?! Hell, I’d risk going to jail for those two myself!

…Man, I need help…I mean, being attracted to a high school cartoon?
