How many people are going to be there total? I’ve always liked Robata’s of Japan if we’re looking for something to eat. There’s also Ozzie’s, a sports bar, but I don’t know what it would be like Saturday, since i don’t know if there’s a hockey game that night or not. There’s more there, but I can think of anything of the top of my head.
There’s America’s Pub there also, but I hate that place.
Looks like the four of us for the moment… Hmm. Maybe I curse these meetings - never can get a big group going once I’m involved. At any rate, I wouldn’t mind a good Japanese steakhouse. My grandmother’s surgery has been rescheduled to Monday because of a possible infection, so as unfortunate as that may be, it does make it more likely that I’ll be able to attend. Aw, that’s a shame, Grimace. Since St. Louis is my home town and Spiny and I are getting married, this certainly won’t be the last time we’ll be in town together. We’ll plan another one of these for sure!
And Rabata of Japan sounds great to me. I’ll ask Thomas when he calls tonight, but I’m pretty sure he’ll say yes. Last time we were in town we went there and we had a blast.

I’m safely in St. Louis now. Grandma is not sure as to when her surgery will be rescheduled, but it will probably be Monday. As for a time, anytime after 6 should work for me. I’ll check back here.
Actually, now that I think about it, 7:00 or thereafter would work better for me. How dressy is Robata’s? I have a nice sweater, but only brought jeans. Also, would it be okay if my mom came along? I told her the conversation wouldn’t be terribly interesting, but she hasn’t had Japanese food in a long time and I promise anything you could say in front of me you could say in front of her.
Okay, 7-ish at Robatas. I wouldn’t worry too much about dress codes, St Louis is fairly casual no matter where you go.

I went ahead and made a reservation for 7 people under the name Cecil Adams.

It looks as though Mom will probably go see my uncle play instead, so 5 time champ can take her place. (My uncle is the sax player in the Zydeco Crawdaddys, if anyone’s familiar with them.)
