zagrid leave. Let go of the expectations and leave the relationship.
Even when a man adores you there are going to be rough times. He’s already identified you with a failed experience. You don’t stand a chance to be yourself.
Do yourself a favor and hold out for the right one.
I used to go for tall, dark, & handsome but now I just go for the ones with large bank accounts. <shrug>
No, but it is wonderfully general. I find it interesting that neither of us is “narrowing” the field–that is, neither of us is insisting on blonde or brunette, blue or brown eyes, under/over 5’6", and so on. We’re looking for a lady who is intelligent and curious; and that’s pretty much it.
Of course, physical standards do come into play; but speaking for myself, I’ll pass on the bubble-brained airhead, no matter how great she looks. I’d rather have the mousy librarian, as long as she has questions, researches the answers, and can discuss what she has found. Of course, if a Victoria’s Secret model turns out to be the latter, great. But overall, I prefer a lady who is intelligent, who never stops learning, and wants to share what she has learned.
Tits?
We’re good.
Smart, pretty, past puberty, not fat. Everything else seems to be open season.
I’ve dated women from at least half a dozen ethnic backgrounds. I’ve been attracted to women with every different body type, from busty with huge hips, to slim and less than a hand full up top. I’ve dated women taller than me (which apparently some guys don’t do) and much smaller. Probably the one thing you could say they all had in common was a pretty face, but what kind of pretty is pretty variable. Anything from smoking hot, to mousy unless her glasses are off, her hair’s all messed up, and she’s pink-cheeked from exercise/sex/embarrassment/anger works for me.
Turn offs are: dumb. In any way, shape, or form. One girl I dated briefly was damn cute, but slow. Couldn’t deal with her for more than a week or two. Fat. Chubby is okay, but fat is not. Skinny is a problem too. I’m most attracted to athletic or dancer’s bodies, but anywhere around average (for real values of average, not American “30 lbs. overweight is the new average” average) is fine. Personality stuff is much more highly variable. As long as she’s not psycho, terminally boring, or annoying, I’m probably willing to negotiate.
My wife is pretty, a dancer, probably smarter than me, supportive, nice, a great mom. Sometimes I wonder how in hell I got so lucky. Sometimes high standards pay off, I guess
So you’re bi?
In that order?
Pretty much the exact opposite of this. Funnily enough, my current interest is tall and nerdy, but she still seems perfect to me.
Tall, slim, lithe, with fair skin and bright eyes, and sandy blond hair and a devil-may-care smile.
I am with a tall, slim, lithe guy with fair skin and dark eyes and dark hair. Oh well. Got most of it. He does have the smile.
How you doin’?
I’m back in town. You’ll have to bring her to the next dopefest.
Dark hair; black really, but I brown will do sometimes as well
slim
modest breasts (b-cup)
pretty face, especially the smile
‘big eyes’ is a bonus
Maybe. But in the meantime, we should get together.
Swarthy, hilarious. That’s it.
Breathing, with a pulse.
Has to be respectful, no putting me down.
Light skin, dark hair, eloquent. I didn’t realize how big a deal the last part was to me until recently. Wouldn’t hurt if they had some geek cred, especially when it came to literature and gaming.
Checks member pictures "ooohh fireman…How you doin’ "?
I’m all over the place physically. (If I must generalize, it tends to be opposite of the last girlfriend.) A curiosity about the world and a “good heart” is probably the biggest indicator of what my type is.
