**gotti **- I’ve got a 12A Bissel Proheat Clearview Force. And I use Bissel’s 3X concentrated fabric cleaner, with an occasional squirt of Resolve on particularly nasty stains. I’ve found it does the best job if I take my time and let it scrub. I’ve now got 3 clean rooms. I hope to get the living room and hallway done before the weekend ends.
We’re going out for Messican for supper, as soon as this episode of Burn Notice is over. I should be able to make it that long… in theory… but I’s hongreeeeeeee!!
gotti that probably depends state by state. I suggest checking out California law on this. I have a feelin’ though, it’s at least six months in most states.
The chickens are all roasted. They smell soooooooo good! They’re coolin’ down now. Hopefully I can get the chicken all shredded in about an hour so’s I can chill it overnight and make chicken sallit tomorrow.
Speakin’ of work (ok, we weren’t but I’m doin’ this anyways), I have to work tomorrow and Sattiday. Plus, I’ll be there for about six hours on Monday yet again. No rest for those of us in the cellphone support bidness! At least the pay’s pretty good. Plus I have a reasonably secure job, so it seems.
In my case, it was almost a year. I have my mortgage through Wells Fargo.
Thanks all for the well wishes. I think 6 weeks is a little early to be talking about moving in together, and I don’t want to be living that old joke about lesbians bringing a U-Haul on the second date, but it just seems like it could be the right thing to do, and we still have several weeks to make up our minds.
mmmmmmmmmmm shrimp quesadillas! I am stuffded! **FCD **just put our bed back together and I’ve got the final load of afghan/mattress pad in the washer, so yay! Soon, I’ll assume the knit position.
It’s been lovely today - never even hit 80! And it’ll drop into the 60s tonight, so it’ll be gooooood sleeping. Which really wouldn’t matter, because I’m exhausted. All that manual labor done wore me out. Hope I can stay up long enough to have some ice cream…
Sorry about the foreclosure, Flower; sounds like a good opportunity, though.
Why ick, LiLi?
Sorry you have to work over the holiday, swampy.
Totally missed Nava’s post earlier, so Spaz’s post didn’t make sense at first. But, yes, it was Spats who was extremely punny.
Home after what felt like a long day. Picked up my prints and found out that the computer freaked out during part of it, so a bunch didn’t get printed. Fortunately, my pictures are pretty well organized, so it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out what’s missing. Also, they gave me $3.00 off this order and a coupon for $2.00 off the next, so…
Guess I’ll re-submit my pics so that I can hopefully pick them up tomorrow.
Garlic spaghetti for din-din. Yummy. And some tomatoes. And chocolate. Still deciding whether to have anything else.
Happy Firday, mumpers! Skimmed but didn’t retain much, am all excited about Rock Werchter this weekend and Metallica. And it’s raining so it might actually get cooler over here…just as I’m leaving!
Happy holiday weekend, 'murricans - I will be celebrating by having Monday off work.
Hugs, yays, boos, slaps, wet fish and appendage crossings as necessary!
BooFae, enjoy your rock-out weekend; have a safe journey too.
Yes, I’m up and caffeinating at least a bit, but I’ll likely go get back in bed in shortly. Just 'cause I can! At any rate, I’m very glad the weekend is here, and a Happy Fourth of July, a day early. LOL
Good morning! I managed to sleep in till 6:30, and I actually got chilly overnight. It’s barely 60°F this morning - in JULY!!!
Anyway, Happy Firday!!! Apparently cherry tomatoes qualify as cat toys. I found one on the kitchen floor, and 2 are missing. Since I doubt any of the critters ate them, I’ll check with **FCD **when he wakes up before starting an intensive search.
Today will start with putting the rest of the furniture back in the bedroom and the family room, since the carpet is surely all dry by now. Then, who knows?? It’s been a nice, if busy, week off, and I know that I will love retirement! Wish I could go out the door in January, but it ain’t gonna happen unless the stock market shoots back up to where it peaked. Right.
Note to self - guzzling down a whole pitcher of beer on a worknight is NOT a good idea. Apparently, I don’t bounce back from a night of drinking quite as easily as I used to.
The sun is shining, I’ve got my big cup of coffee, and I’m enjoying the peace and quiet before the rest of the house stirs.
It’s supposed to get up to around 90 degrees today.
I got my hair done yesterday, and today I’m contemplating going to the mall. I’ve got a gift card for there, I need new jeans and I need something “hawaiian” looking for a friend’s fiftieth wedding anniversary party.
Tonight we’re going to some friends house for dinner, conversation, drinks and fun.

if you two are ready to go, why bother with foreclosure? Just give the bank the keys to the place and start singing Happy Trails…

We’re not at all ready, which is why we’re trying to figure an approximate schedule.
There’s not a space ready for me to work at yet, and we’d really like to be able to get through one last Faire season. Not to mention, we have a lot of stuff to pack. I’m not sure it’s going to fit into one PODS container.
Could be worse - our neighbors who said they’ve only stayed here because they like us, and are also underwater have decided to move as well. They’ve been there since the house was built, so their stuff is a life form of its own - 20 years of accumulated stuff.
If foreclosures take as long as they appear to, we probably will be able to pull out in December and mail the keys.
Hi y’all! I’ve been slacking and not posting in the MMP. Didja miss me?
Today I’m washing linens and bathroom rugs and comforters and uploading pictures from the trip. I’m getting ready for the MMP. Yesterday I cleaned both bathrooms and vacuumed a few rugs. I’ve been busy!
Tonight I’m making a new dish called Happy Shrimp. It’s Eye-talian - shrimp in a cream sauce over angel hair pasta.
Yesterday a HUGE disaster was averted. You know it’s been 100° or close to it for a month now, right? You know we got a new AC unit in January, right? So about 5:30 I notice it’s about 79° in the house, and it’s not blowing cool air. Mama don’t like her AC to be broken, let me tell you.
So I called our AC man, our neighbor who fed the dogs while we were away. He was home! He fixed it within 30 minutes! How’s that for service, huh? I was (and am) a happy camper! It never got over 80°. It was a cheap capacitor that went out. He replaced it with a better model. With the heat the way it is, it’s a very common problem. He was glad the service call was across the street instead of across town, and we rewarded him with a cold beerverage.
