I haven’t seen all the superhero films of this year (I think there were only two that relate, Thor and Capt America) and have never been much of a superhero fan anyway. But this looks fun, and a proper crossover team-up is something that is past due for live action.
No, the Whedoniest is Banner’s simple, sincere-sounding “Thanks”.
And JThunder, we got at least two shots of Hawkeye: One of him deploying his bow, and one of him shooting at something. Which isn’t bad, for one of the two least-powered characters on the team.
I acknowledge that. Remember, I didn’t claim that Hawkeye wasn’t depicted at all. Rather, I said that we didn’t get enough of him. The two scenes that you mentioned were all too brief, especially in comparison to the exposure that the other characters received.
Heck, the other less-powered character, the Black Widow, got considerably more screen time.than he did.
It’s a trailer, not the movie itself. They’re not going to sell the movie on a character most people have never heard of, and whose entire screen time to date was a 2 minute cameo in “Thor.” Especially not when they have Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johanssen in already-recognizable roles to choose from.
