Back on the road again: an MMP

The apocalypse almost descended upon us this mornin’. My broadband was out for almost two hours!!!111  All is well now, however. Also da cave is all spiffed. Peas ‘n carrots and fries have been decided upon to go with the chikin. Vestry also meets tonight. All day I have been sayin’ to myself, “don’t forget the Vestry meets tonight.”

Sari glad truck is all better now. Yikes about your niece. Hope she’s OK.

red yay for soon to be new wheelz!

wetone is she bein’ fired or just movin’ to a different space?

spidey what’s even better is to be on a loooooooooong conference call about stuff you don’t have access to as of yet and then bein’ told never mind about it all. It’s happened.

My security cameras are up and working. It took about 15 minutes to connect all four and that even included a firmware update. Truly simple. Sari the set is Yi Home Camera and a set of 4 was just under $100. The pictures are very clear. I just have to find the exact right spots for all of them.

Sari, Hope niece and family is OK; doubt the truck was doing 100, or I doubt they would have survived–but still good luck that they weren’t worse hurt.

Butters, congrats on the security upgrade.

swampy, off line for two hours!?!?!?! I hope the faintin’ couch was near at hand.

FCM, I don’t think you have a RBF (had to look that up). It’s a pretty pleasant face that I remember. Of course, you weren’t at work at the time…

Pretty much a do-nothing day, but in about an hour I’m heading out the door to work with the soccer players again. Painters have been in doing prep work all day, need to go peek at what they’ve done so far. 91F outside again.

Home. Just SIL and me for supper. **FCD **and daughter are meeting with the woman doing some graphics for the company website, so they won’t be here for supper. I got weenies and beans and buns and chips - easy-peasy. I also boiled a dozen eggs, and shortly, I’ll peel them and stick 'em in the fridge.

It was a heckuva work day - glad to be home. I shall chill this evening.

**MetalMouse **- Obviously my coworkers don’t know I’m nice, dammit! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m glad that your niece and her family are OK sari.

I didn’t get to the grocery sto’ today, nor did Nelson get to go to the dog park. I got up with good intentions of sticking with tylenol during the day and save the pain pills for the night. The intention went out the window around 1 because I was in a lot of pain. A friend is coming over this evening to move my chargers, lamp and alarm clock to the other side of the bed for [del]less painfur

Home, rental car returned, Gordie is happy to see me. Back to work in the A.M.

We should do a Kickstarter for a toothbrush.

Sounds like the late Maggie Wonderbeagle.

Wiki!
: tacklehug :

Nava, MetalMouse, swampy, I have an apartment, so no remodel while I’m here. But I get a remodel when my store goes full Walgreen’s. Or at least lighter carpets.

Home from a marathon Vestry meetin’. I’d forgotten how sometimes they go on for a while. Guess they saved this one especially for me as a welcome. Also drove through a deluge on the way home and now one is crankin’ up here. Fine by me if’n it rains all night. Makes for good sleepin’.

Speakin’ of sleep, Nitey Nite Y’all!

Yes, it is comforting hearing rain and/or the train horns during the night before I get up at 5:00 Ante Meridian.

A smirking asshole called me a “little fucker” at registration Sunday. The same guy who got me in trouble at last year’s registration because I didn’t help him when he didn’t ask for help.

I took the 1911A1 I bought at a gun show three weeks ago to the range today. I was off work from working and being cussed at Sunday. It is very nice, two bulls eyes and three in the ring at twenty five feet, 17 out of 20 that would kill the guy at 50 feet. Of course, that leaves three where he would beat me to death with a bar stool while he bled to death.

I took the little Kel Tec P-32 that I bought for Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) when we were considering concealed carry. The guy who tried to mug her is out on parole again.

Couldn’t hit a damn thing. I could keep a group in a two feet diameter at 25 feet. You’d have to poke a revengeful guy on parole in the chest to kill him.

flytrap, what a charming fellow…I hope something moderately bad happens to him (I am a mild person, so only moderate injury/indignity).

{{{Red}}}. Just take care of yourself.

Soccer coached and went to Cheddar’s for an 8 oz. sirlion–which was downgrade to a 6 oz. sirloin as they were out of the bigger one. Still pretty good.

They have begin painting the kitchen and bedroom. Will have to get used to these new colors…(I’ll put pictures over at Facebook when they are done). Tiling is due to begin next week, as I understand it.

Now off to bed, the painters arrive early.

A real surplus one or one of the commercial clones? As the owner of a Singer I am always curious about things like that.

For Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) seriously consider a LadySmith or a 49.
Funeral was lovely if lightly attended (weekday noonish and all) and work was work. And I may have another funeral; word is a co-worker passed away this morning at home. Gramma always said they come in threes. :smack:

I’ve got a Singer as well!
Of course, I’m British, so mine’s a sewing machine…

Sorry to hear about your co-irker.

Day off today, it’s cool and a bit damp. Our drought is decidedly over, it’s been chucking it down on and off for the last few days. I should probably go out for the day and get some fresh air, I’ve been sat in a lot lately and it’s not actually raining. This does involve putting socially acceptable clothing on, however.

I’ve got a Singer sewing machine, too. It’s over 100 years old - it belonged to my paternal grandmother but she passed it to me when I was a teen. It still works!

I’ve been up an hour so far. Dammit. Gonna be one of those days. Dammit.

Mine’s a modern one, from 1940. I do still have the receipt if I need to take it back though.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and partly cloudy (well, dark) with a predicted high of 91 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted for this afternoon/evenin’. We shall see. Da yahd is becomin’ a jungle so mowage must ensue at some point. Maybe tomorrow or Thursday as the chance of rain is much less. Today’s agenda consists of laundry and miscellaneous chores. Rah.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Back to work.

I made it to the office. I do not wish to be here, but what ya gonna do? Oh, we have lovely new cabinets and countertop and sink in the kitchen, but they put the coffee machine on the table and shoved that up against the soda machine. That ain’t gonna hack it…

I learned something new today - a single elephant tooth can weigh as much as 9#. Work that into a conversation, why doncha?

Happy Tuesday!

The employee meeting went fine. She is not being let go just moving to a different space. She is getting on board with it. She has begun purging old books. Now she needs to let go of journals from 1992…

Morning. Up at 0530 (why? I don’t know–I set the alarm for 0630, my body should know that) and garage door is open for the painters when they arrive.

68F here in North Ali-Bama, but heading for 90F again. Unlike swampy, rain is not forecast before Thorsday, so mowage will be tomorrow.

Otherwise just another day in paradise…

The fridge and freezer went out. I had to throw away hundreds of dollars of food. Some of the fresh produce and condiments survived and are chilling in the mini fridge, but I had to throw away so much meat, dairy, frozen meals… everything. This sucks so hard. Romeo] is calling the repair shop when they open at 9. Hopefully they can come today and the nanny can let them in and such.

Ugh. We can’t afford this, paying for the repair and paying to replace the bad groceries.

Sucks Juliet.

Up and at ‘em. I am going to try to get Louie in for a Veterinarian appt. He needs his toenails trimmed and he has a little bump we need to check out.

I don’t have much on the plan for today. I need to go to the grocery store and maybe cook a nice meal. We had sammiches last night. Also the ever present laundry needs doing.
