Back to school in the MMP

{{{{Baker}}}}

I made an appointment today to have my stitches removed.

Up and working on laundry. Its rainy and cold and I’m thinking that the winter clothes may have to come out of storage soon.

Da cave is all spiffed and all the laundry I plan to do is done. Dindin shall be grilled chikin Caesar sallit and cheesey bread. This shall be easy to whip up plus tasty. We stuffded ourselves all weekend plus yestiddy so today is lighter fare.

I have lunched and now I must get back to work. I haven’t decided if I’ll come in on Firday or not - we’ll see what the workload is.

Meanwhile, I need to finish the cockpit drawings for my good buddy Josh.

I took Nelson in for the big nip and chip this morning. Then I swung through Tar-jay to pick up a prescription and came home. Once here, I prepped the patio and garden for autumn, raked the postage stamp in front of my stoop and swept the walkway and patio. That stuff is much easier without having to ride herd on a pup. :stuck_out_tongue:

I should be getting a call around 2 to go pick up my puppy. Tomorrow is rest and TLC for him and me being around to keep an eye out. Now, I shall pursue nappage.

blurf Still irking. Stopped by the vet and got Louie’s nails trimmed and a bottle of tranks for the cat. I have a sense of impending doom. I expect we will get out of here in the morning. Just don’t know where to go that is safe but anywhere will be safer than these tiny islands. I did fill up the car this morning with not a long wait.

swampy, I love that prayer. Thanks for posting it. {{hugs to baker and Robyn’s family}}

Back it irk. I officially became manager August 13 and now have to go through new manager training, including purchase requisitions which will be useful. Although last night I had a dream that I was ousted from my office and got 3 inches of someone elses desk to share. I didn’t like that dream.

Could I ask for a few prayers, white light, whatever you got, for a friend who has developed MRSA in her port site? And the same for another friend’s mom who might have a cerebrospinal fluid leak? Thanks.

WetOne prayers for your friend and your friend’s mom headed out. The prayer I posted is from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. It contains prayers (duh!), orders of service for all Episcopal services, a Psalter, and other stuff. Google BCP online and you can see the whole thing.

Evacuate then don’t evacuate. Active duty do have the order but we lowly civilians will be forced to wait until the very last minute. I actually have to come into work tomorrow to “finish paperwork and any final preps”.

**Butters **- will you start leaving after work or wait till Thurs?

On my commute home, I passed a small pickup that rear-ended a school bus… because, you know, them big yellow vehicles are so hard to spot along the road. There was an ambulance there along with the police - dunno if it was a precaution or if the truck driver was hurt - it was a pretty bad smash-up. Happy first day of school!

Supper is burgers sans buns, chips, and cuke salad. Oreos for dessert. That’s well-balanced, right?

We will probably leave very early on Thursday .

Is there an official plan for evacuation, or will everyone just rush the causeway or whatever the roads and bridges across the Keys is called?

Butters, I think you should drop in on swampy! Then you guys could have the first Mumper Jammie Party!! PILLOW FIGHT!!! Before you go, tho, make sure the wigs are safe!

Supper was good. **FCD **has rinsed the dishes and I’ll be dumping them into the dishwasher shortly. Oreos later. Chillage all evening. Not a bad way to end the day.

Thanks again for the prayers and hugs. In a somewhat unusual move Robyn’s funeral will be on Sunday afternoon. My guess is it’s for two reasons. It will allow more time for extended family to arrive. And there is a BIG turnout expected. If it was held Friday some people who work M-F schedules might have more difficulty attending.
**
swampie**, as a fellow Episcopalian, I also appreciate your inclusion of that prayer.

She was so young. August 24 was her 60th birthday.:frowning:

Cancer really, really, really sucks.

Dindin has been ingested. Not too shabby if’n I do say so myself. Tomorrow shall be Stouffer’s lasagna, sallit, and garlic bread. Comestibles will be procured tomorrow mornin’ and I shall pick up all that stuff as well. I want lasagna.

MOOOOOOM milk in which to dunk Oreos will make it a balanced meal. Also, Butters would be quite welcome. However, she may be afraid I’ll try to steal HRH Lucky Louie cause I am in lurve with that sweet little face.

According to my sweetie, Oreos should be consumed by sticking a fork into the filling and dunking them thusly.

I didn’t find out about this quirk until after we got married…

Though, if you get one removed too soon, you might need nine more; I learnt that from a very famous person.

So, mini-meatloafs. There is a somewhat-nearby race, the Bouncing Buns. (No, I’ve never attended.)

[del]One[/del] Two in each hand, right?

Bring TP (Og forbid you should use some of the stash).
Din-din was pepper steak. Wanted to go running but there’s a very colorful line on radar very fast approaching. :frowning:

Nelson is home. He took a long nap curled up in my arms and now he’s hungry as a horse (not only his food, but about 1/3 of my carnitas  )

Yay for Nelson bein’ home and havin’ a good appetite!

Red. Glad to hear. Been thinking of the little fellow all day. Funny someone should mention TP as hubs went shopping yesterday and the TP and PT is still on the couch. I am warming up some soup and shall start the process of packing. Can’t carry too much in my little car. Cat litter boxes arrived but no playpen. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. Turns out we have a friend who has an empty trailer on the Suwannee river where we shall try to stay depending on the weather of course.

Poor hubs has too much stuff downstairs so he has planned about three dump runs tomorrow while I irk trying to make room to get the important stuff up off the floor. I already have his new porch stove in the living room. Brand new commercial range. Also gradually A/C stuff is making it’s way upstairs.

One of my employees, Ms Judy, refuses to leave. I cannot force her even though I did ask her what part of a military order does she not understand.

All visitors and tourists are ordered out tomorrow and residents on Thursday. What they will do if need be is make all lanes outgoing. There will be police at the top of the Keys not letting anyone in after a point. Cars were lined up at gas stations when I came home. The on base gas station was out of gas but another load was delivered today.

I am scared of what if anything I come back to.
