I have to report to work this morning. Awake early to start packing. My car is small so can only take so much. Have one big suitcase, a small cooler, cat drugged in cage, my jewelry and some pictures. We have friends near Orlando with an empty but furnished trailer on the Suwannee river. We will go there and watch to see if we need to go further. Orders are to Atlanta.
Lots of people are staying. I guess they are hoping for that northward turn. In a surprising switch hubs has decided not to drive his van after all so he will drive us in my car. It’s the newest. I guess he wants a new van. Tis a very unsettling feeling to leave home and know it may get blown away.
Actually, spousal unit prefers Hydrox, but I haven’t seen them in a store in eons.
I am dragging this morning - I thought I slept thru the night, but it must not have been good sleep. I see a loooooong day ahead.
We got a little rain last night and more is promised today, but I was hoping for more. Guess we’ll see what the clouds bring us.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of ONLY 84 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see. The big plan today is to go to the Pubic Sto’ to lay in provisions and get my geezer discount. I shall do this as soon as I know skool/irk traffic has died down. Wednesday mornin’ in the Pubic Sto’ is pretty much geezer city. 
Butters glad there’s a plan to get out and go somewhere safe. Hopefully Orlando will do the trick. At least Orlando is not horrible, horrible far even though it’s still far from the Keys.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification must commence so I can be presentable to the public in the Pubic Sto’.

ETA: MOOOOOOM now that you mention it, I don’t recall seein’ Hydrox in the store for some time now. Mayhaps I shall look just to see today. Sunshine use to have a raisin bizkit crispy thing I liked with coffee but stopped makin’ 'em a way long time ago.
Orlando is 8 hours… We have been told to get within 300 miles of Atlanta stopping somewhere overnight. All the models have it turning before it gets to the Lower Keys putting us on the weaker side of it. Weak is relative with a Cat 5. I am so sad to leave my home that we have worked so hard to have. The thought that it could blow away is unfathomable.
Forgot to tell Mmmoooommmm the pumpkin wigs are on the highest shelf I have here at irk. Almost to the ceiling.
No qualms about returning to irk tomorrow. Nelson is eating well, doing his business and even playing fetch, so’s I think he’s gonna be OK.

Awaiting the AT&T guy to arrive this afternoon to usher me into a brave new world of internet and telephone service. Otherwise it looks like a good (below 80F) day today. This is Wednesday, so soccer coaching 4-5 year olds.
**Butters **- I’m glad the wigs should stay high and dry. Can you imagine if they washed away then started showing up on beaches along the Keys?? That would be, um, confusing??
I’m not sure I like the new board format - things seem to be spread awfully far out. On the other hand, it seems to be easier to read. Whatever. I can deal.
Except I deselected signature in UserCP and it keeps coming back. Dammit!

We went on our little weekend getaway to the mountains. The smoke from the forest fires was so bad you could hardly see anything, and it wasn’t safe to go outside. A bummer.
The kids start school today. Some places still stick to the old ways.
Not sure how I feel about the new Board. Some things are hard to see, like the page markers at the bottom. Not having much choice, I suspect I will just get used to it.

Much busy this morning, which is good. It shall continue into the afternoon, which is also good. But I’m ready to go home now. Which isn’t good. Oh well…
Good Morning! Wait, it’s afternoon now.
I’m being lazy because I can. I was incredibly busy at work for the past 2-3 weeks. I have my own consulting business, not really busy in general - I consider myself semi-retired- but I can’t control the scheduling of my projects. And 3 of the 4 large projects I have for this year hit the labor intensive stage last month.
Also, long story but my apartment has been in disarray since the beginning of this year. And dealing with it seemed overwhelming. I got that burst of motivation that I’ve been waiting for over the long weekend and did some massive decluttering and cleaning and rearranging. Then I decided my bedroom was too dark and depressing so I took on a cheap ($120 budget) room makeover, replacing the rug,bedspread and curtains. It looks awesome even though the items were cheap -but I’m probably moving and totally down-sizing within the next 5 years so durability was not an issue.
So I feel accomplished. Today I’m having a totally lazy do nothing day and enjoying the fact that my apartment feels like home again.

I went to my ‘settings’ menu and ensmallened my page a bit and it’s easier to read now.

Wish you could send some of that water up here, without the wind. Seems like half the state is on fire.
Not a lot else going on here. I tweaked my back on Friday and have been unable to move around a lot. Yesterday was geezer day at the local Kroger sto and I did go to get some foods but didn’t have the stamina to examine the offering in the other sections of the store.
I wouldn’t have been able to do that much except I’ve been taking large amounts of ibuprofen before bed. I can almost walk like a normal person now instead of Boris Karloff. Just not very fast.
Sometimes I think nobody pays any attention to me. Ever since the election, I’ve been telling everybody, everywhere, that I think that if the democrats would drop their anti second amendment rhetoric, they’d stop losing so many elections. For months I’ve been saying that! crickets Today, someone said pretty much the same thing on one of the facebook groups I belong to, and already he’s got like 280 comments. :dubious:

Howdy Y’all! I geezer shopped, got everything put away, made a sallit (OK it’s bag sallit but I rinsed it, dried it, and put it in a bowl so that counts), and washed and dried a load of towels. I declare that enough productivity for one day.

Home. It started raining, and it’s getting steadily harder, so yay! My plants need the water. **FCD **called a bit ago - he’s on his way. Supper will be pasta roni with chicken and green beans.
I goofed this morning - I wanted to run the dishwasher, but I left it set on rinse rather than wash. It’s washing now. Stoopit dishwasher (not my fault - it should have known!!! 
Still haven’t decided if tomorrow is my Firday or not…
Lasagna, sallit, and garlic bread sticks have been ingested. Plus leftovers for two N.O.L. tomorrow. WIN-WIN!
