Bad bad bad Becks kissing booth

So…how’s your Cupids bow ?

You know that indentation under your nose above your lip.
When its right its adorable.

If its not there, its forgotten.
Mine was never a thing, to my dismay.

Then I had a car wreck. I had 9 stitches on my upper lip. When the surgeon fixed my nose, he worked on that scar.
I was left with an extreme cupids bow.
I hated it.
Wanted it gone.

When Covid hit, my dream of a surgical fix was put on hold.
After masking and not worrying so much about it, it finally went to looking normal.

Yay!
I’m kissable.
I swear.

LOL! I really never gave mine a thought until my daughter was born. Then i looked at her little face, and there it was - my upper lip, clear as day. Would never have thought it!

I think the two lines are called the phyltrum. Cecil has a column on it; go look.

Chloe Grace Moritz has an adorable one.

Mine’s covered with a moustache/beard, I guess the beardy bits have nothing to do with the topic. I was told, long ago, that it was cute.

As children, we were told that’s where, just before being sent down to earth, the angels pressed their fingers to the babies’ lips and told “now don’t tell what you’ve seen here.”

This is mentioned in one of the first three Prophecy movies. Christopher Walken, playing the angel Gabriel, says “Do you know how you got that dent on your upper lip? Before you were born I told you a secret. Then, I said shhhh!”

I have nothing else to add at this time.

Gloria Graham was never happy with hers. After some botched surgeries her upper lip was pretty much a stiff plank.

Now-a-days she’d have gotten lip fillers.
You can fake the line but not the puff.

It’s highly mis-used by celebrities. It looks awful when they can’t stop going bigger.
