Battlestar Galactica 2.6 — "Home, Pt. 1" (open spoilers)

This one I would take off the list. After all, if you’re a Toaster you can just ask the Refrigerator.

I don’t know…I think that once people have cracked FTL travel they’ll probably have a pretty good grasp of such problems.

Damn. Good point.

But only if you’re a *brave * little toaster.

This might not be canon, but given how conventional most of their technology seems except for artificial gravity, reactionless drive and ftl travel, I had presumed that the Colonies had gone through a dark age after the flight from Kobol, and that civilization had to be rebuilt from whatever relecs were left. That the only reason they have such advanced ship technology is that they are able to build ships on a “it works if you follow the specs, but no one knows why” basis.

So maybe their knowledge of physics isn’t that advanced.

I’d also pegged Adama to be in his early to mid '60s. (Edward James Olmos is 58 in real life) Remember that flashback to when Adama and Tigh were has-beens? I figured they had a few glory years just before the end of the first war, then during the armistice were just two more unemployed officers, until Adama was lucky enough to get one of the few peacetime commisions.

Lumpy, that would also help explain why they’ve only colonized one solar system. Perhaps they didn’t get FTL up & running until right before the Cylon war, and then after the war they’ve been too busy rebuilding, again.

Is it possible that it’s the Bast Star? After all, they looked pretty big and meaty from the inside. We’ve already seen that the Raiders have an organic “pilot”.

Sorry, that should be Base Star.
