The previews are infamous for taking clips and quotes out of context.
Nontheless, I’ll stock up on rotten fruit.
I don’t know that even Caprica Six actually saw him sign it with the gun at his head. As I recall, she was shot in the head before he signed. She could testify that he was being heavily pressured before her temporary demise…or she may perjure herself.
I wonder if the Hemingway games she played with Tighe will add to or subtract from her appearance of veracity.
Sci-Fi calims that we will find out who the final 5 are next week, I’m not holding my breath.
So now people are asking Baltar to bless their kids? With that, and his new incarnation as a “working class hero” and the fact that all of the human characters are be portrayed is SUCH a negitive light, I think I may start rooting for the Cylons.
Especially if the Cylons take over again, and decide to airlock Callie! :D
Ya know…I’ve mentioned something similar in previous threads. Has there ever been a series where the bad guys won in the end? What if they let the Cylons win?
Or maybe they’ve already won…this has all happened before, it will all happen again…and what we’re seeing is an infinite loop in a Cylon computer…
Your philosophy intrigues me, and I would like to subscribe to your manifesto.
If the spoilers are true, we will not know all of the Final Five.
There’s still another season left, it would suck if they revealed all of the Final Five now.
I’m telling you, the Final Cylon (Imperious Leader?) has GOT to be…
BOXEY!
think about it, we see him briefly on Caprica during the Cylon First Strike, he’s evac’ed in Boomer’s Raptor, and after that ep, he’s never seen or heard from again…
he was the one who sabotaged the Olympic Carrier, funneled the nuke to PegaSix, helped the Toasters track the Tylium processor ship, heck, he probably started the whole Black Market thing, and helped PegaSix through the Jeffries Tubes (Adama Tubes?) onboard Pegasus so she could evade the guards and end up gunning down Cain
it’s all his fault
Nah, I’m prety sure Boxey was supposed to have died from syphilis or something.
The last Cylon we meet will be Starbuck’s dad, and he’ll be played by Dirk Benedict.
That’s what they want you to think…
Something that hasn’t been discussed yet…the scene between Helo and Gaeta. That speech about changes coming and how we need to be prepared for the storm… could be considered to be foreshadowing a potential mutiny.
Was there ever any indication that Helo heard the mysterious music?
And I’ll give it up to the folks over at TWoP. They’re doing a similar thread about this episode, protecting the spoilered info, and have a very high quality discussion going on. Light years beyond the juvenile mess on the SciFi boards. BSG junkies may want to check it out, but be careful which threads you open. The most detailed spoilers I’ve seen were also posted there…
What are the odds, based on Tigh’s rant, that the trial backfires and various members of the current power structure find themselves brought up for war crimes themselves? Of the five-thousand-and-some corpses the prosecution is trying to lay at Baltar’s doorstep, it’s clear from Romo’s questioning that at least some of that body count belongs to the organizers of the resistance. Mathematically, at least, if not morally.
Maybe that’s why they’ve been working overtime to present Helo as a boy scout, to make it possible for him to survive the storm by giving him unimpeachable credentials. And maybe that’s what that little moment was about.
ETA: (Bear in mind, again, that I haven’t seen the much-ballyhooed spoilers. This is just speculation.)
With Lee having resigned and Kelly gone Helo is now the third in command. It’s clear that if Adama were to die or become incapcited again Tigh would be in command for long.
Everyone else prolly already knows, but the podcast is up. Checking it out…
When it turrns out Starbuck was half toaster(my bet is one of the Leobens) I will do the dance of vindication. Dance! I say
Why did it say “stereo” so clearly on the radio Saul was fiddling with? It bugged me the whole episode, much the same way as seeing a Citroën in a parking garage on Caprica.
Lee looked stupid in a suit.
Balthar blessing pictures and the lawyers turning the table too easily. It’s too contrived and spells fake drama to me.
As I suggested in another thread, the series may have ended with Exodus, and what comes afterward is very bad fan-fic.
And yet all these people still watch it.

Including me.
