All of this has had spoilers before, and all of this will have spoilers again.
Spoiler policy:
If it’s aired, or if it’s purely speculation, no need for a spoiler box. If it’s from a future episode as revealed by interviews, web content, or kamala-induced clairvoyance, then hide it in a spoiler box, and provide a generally descriptive label so we can decide for ourselves whether or not it’s something we want to know. To wit:I kidnapped Ron Moore and stuck glowy things in his ear until he revealed the other five Cylons! But I’ll never tell you bozos, bwa ha haaah.
Okay, so…
Lots of stuff is going on, but this episode looks like a standalone. I’m guessing they’re saving money with a bottle show (i.e. no new sets) after the blowouts that opened the season. Maybe it’ll kick off a new story arc, or more likely it’ll be self-contained. We’ll see later tonight.
We haven’t seen much of Starbuck since Adama yanked her leash, and Tigh has been holed up with his private misery. But since the preview makes this look like an Adama-centric story, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of opportunities to get both of them back into the game.
And will Helo really be forgiven? As I said in last week’s thread, it doesn’t bother me that Adama is taking his side, but what about everybody else? If Apollo ever finds out, he’s going to want to tear off Mr. Agathon’s Cylon injector.
Oh, and I think we’re all expecting major fallout from the Baltar-Xena thing last week. Hoo boy.
I predict that a geeky, slightly overweight Japanese man will suddenly appear on the bridge of Galactica. The constipated expression initially on his face will be replaced by a look of joy. He’ll raise his arms and shout, “Yatta!”
Oh, gods. OK, so did Doc Cottle say his DNA checks out with military records, and hence he’s not a Cylon? Did he just say that? Because, if he did, why did he not also mention that, hey, that whole Cylon detector thing was a big waste of time, at least for military personnel, since we’ve got a database of DNA fingerprints we can cross-reference?
Wasn’t Ellen living on New Caprica for some time before Saul? Why did she leave her clothes on Galactica? Or did Saul remember to pack a suitcase before he left New Caprica.
Okay, Adama gets a medal for 45 years of service. He’s known Tigh for 30 years. Remember when we saw Adama and Tigh meet for the first time and they were both civilians? We still need an explanation for why Adama & Tigh were out of the military.
Can someone explain to me why exactly the Cylons let Bulldog go? All I got was they wanted him to find his way to Galactica so he could find out why he was captured to begin with?
Woo-hoo! The real BSG characters are back this week!
I don’t know who those look-alikes were from the last few episodes, but they didn’t have me fooled for a second. Apollo is back to being the idealist with daddy issues, Adama is back to stoic mopey, Roslin is smart again, Starbuck knows what she’s doing with the piloting, and Tigh is grumpily kicking ass when it needs kicking (even his own, apparently).
Wasn’t the computer screen that Doc Cottle was looking at pretty similar to the readout from Baltar’s Cylon-detector computer screen?
OK, so, the Cylons have been holding this Bulldog guy for three years, just waiting for the odd chance to spring him on William Adama. Wow. I mean, my gods, the genius.
Also, we’re actually supposed to buy Adama blaming himself for the entire frakking invasion? For doing his frakking job, for frak’s sake? He can’t be that big of an idiot.
Too little Cylons. Way too frakking much bad writing with the humans. What in the (forgive me) FUCK is going on in Battlestar land?
As Tigh explained it, the Cylons knew Novacek would find out what Adama had done and try to kill him. But that theory also means the Cylons know where the fleet is, so they could program his raider to jump there, so why not just send over a frakload of basestars?
Why is Bulldog leaving Galactica? Just to get away from Adama? They need good fighter pilots like they need oxygen. Get over it, people.
