Spoiler policy: If you want to discuss a plot point from an upcoming episode, something you know is going to happen because it’s been revealed in interviews or some other canon source, including the preview for the following week, put it in a spoiler box, and label the box so we can decide for ourselves whether or not it’s something we want to know (example here). If you’re simply speculating about what might happen in an upcoming episode, or if you’re discussing something that has already aired in the episode (not including the preview), there’s no need for a spoiler box.
Bob Dylan’s All Along The Watchtower is interwoven into the plot of the reimagined science fiction series Battlestar Galactica. It has “appeared” as sound bites and in partial lyrics spoken by the characters. It is even used as the trigger that wakes some characters to their true Cylon nature.
Will this song play a key plot or figurative element in the culmination of the series, or is it just a cool song that the creator liked? Since the characters interact with the song, does this mean these people are in our future where a Bob Dylan song is a forgotten memory? Or are the bits and pieces just the product of a character in the series?
The last 3 hours of the series are approaching. What does the song mean to you in the Battlestar Galactica universe?
