Because We Can Never Get Enough… It’s A Monty Python MMP

Fine then, “kolache”. But I don’t know how to pronounce that.

Good morning!

Back at work today - blech. I am not motivated at all.

The doc said I should have the gall bladder out sooner rather than later. Preferably when it’s not inflamed! I’ll schedule it for July. I’ll only miss a few days of work. He made it sound like it’s no big deal - probably very routine for him, but not for me!

Gotta go heat up my breakfast. See ya!

tell Thrak Smokey say sxf tgdrtcj,typ.kyu;/oi['1162+2.3]/

Hello peoples. Back from the mountains and at work. Didn’t get to go to Grandfather Mountain due to a family move-out emergency (not mine) but I did get to see Prince Caspian. It made Spaz smile.

Need to re-caffienate and find pronouns.

Gah. Interview in ten minutes. Have already forgotten all the behavioural scenarios I memorized last night. Breaking into a cold sweat.

Wish me luck!!!

(if I’m getting this nervous over a phone interview, what the hell will I do if they like me enough to arrange an in-person? aww crap)

Good luck! Deep breathing!

Erk. Terrible night last night. Very tired today. I’m making a grocery list and being grateful for naps. I resent the fireworks last night, and the huge crowds of people streaming past our place at midnight. It was a nice night for them, though. It almost always rain on Victoria Day.

Yesterday, for tea, I had gingerbread and a quarter of a lemon meringue pie. This ia a little ridiculous. It’s kind of nice, though.

Morning! I am tentatively optimistic about my little pug girl. The x-rays were normal so she is scheduled for surgery on Friday. There are some lab tests that come back tomorrow so keep the appendages crossed, swampy dear, if you can hold out.

Speaking of, mine are crossed for you to get the new job. It sounds right up your alley!

Assorted well wishes all round. That’s all I got for now.

Hi people!

Remember me?

Thought not…

Still as busy as ever, so only skimmed – Happy Birthday Taters!, and yay for getting the lease picked up, Haze :). Pulled an all-nighter yesrterday (known in advance) as part of my Military Reserves Duty (Israel is safe from Computer-Generated Enemies, now :p), crashed for 3 hours at home and went to work – and I need to survive on these three hours of sleep since yesterday morning until around midnight.
Seems to be working so far, except I suspect my sleep schedule is going to be thrown for a while…

Anyway, yays, boos etc… as appropriate. Hope to be a bit more active this week

Hi Nooner!

Brownies are a good breakfast right?

Hello, No1!

Good luck, Mahna!

:: stumbles off in search of coffee ::

Yes, but we draw the line at Girl Scouts.
I started working on my murder mystery again today. I need to finish it and find an agent etc. I also need to get some stuff done today. Ha.

LiLi, I’m surprised people ventured out into the freezing cold to see fireworks, especially since it must’ve been even colder out by the lake than it was up at our place.

The neighbour’s dog was most offended at the fireworks and felt the need to express her displeasure. LOUDLY. Stupid mutt started barking her head off for nearly an hour starting at 11pm… which means I didn’t get to sleep until after midnight. Sigh. It’s all well and good for the neighbours, considering they work from home, but they really need to discipline their dog better - or at least put her in the basement when she starts a ruckus like that so late at night so that the rest of us can get some sleep.

Interview was good. I was able to convince them that I’m really in it for the job and not for the money (it’s a lateral move, so the best I can hope for is maybe $2K raise, assuming I wasn’t totally incorrect about my current pay rate). Fingers crossed, I’ll hear back by end of week if they like me enough to interview me in person.

W00t! Good interview!
And Nat’s been sleeping for more than two hours. This is glorious. Except that I wish I’d known earlier and gone back to bed. Oh, well. Laundry’s nearly done, and I’ve managed another couple of chores.

Oh that’s right. I meant to say “me too” to **donkey **yesterday. So I’ll say it today instead… Me too! I think it might be KeithT’s only disappointment in marrying me - he didn’t marry a MP fan.

AWWWWWWWWWW! Cuuuuuuuuute! Kiiiiiiiiiitttttttyyyyyyy! ::falls over from cuteness::

Need more kitteh pics! It’s going to be a loooong time before we can have a kitten so I have to live vicariously through the pics of Thrak. Thanks, doggio!

Good luck on the jobs, **swampy **and Muppet!

So I got all brave and biked in to work this morning. It went fine, and I think with a few days practice, it’ll be a piece of cake. There’s a lot of traffic, but at least with the 4 stop lights, it’s slow-moving traffic. Now I just have to figure out how to get from the right edge of the road over two lanes to the left turn lane. For now, I’m just crossing straight over the road I need to turn onto and then stopping, waiting for the light to change, and then going straight in the other direction. It works, but it’d be a lot more efficient if I could just make that left. Which I think I could if I can kinda hang out in the right lane until the mass of traffic clears and then head over when there’s a nice big break. But I’m not sure exactly how to do that. So for now I’ll stick with my current method. But at least I can do it! And in under 10 minutes!

Unfortunately, they bike rack is at the absolutely furthest point in the building from where I sit. It’s next to the currently-unused wing of the building. Isn’t that thoughtful of them? :smack:

Hah! I have cleverly put up a video of the baby! By, um, using the upload video button.

Look, I’m not good with computers, okay?

Very cool video. He looks … energetic and in complete charge. If I were you, I’d talk to hubby about fomenting revolution. That kid looks a hard ruler.
I had gnocchi for lunch yesterday and now I want more but there isn’t any. :frowning:

I spend hours every day holding him up. Well, keeping him from falling over. We really, really need a Jolly Jumper. This week. Actually, last week. On the plus side, my arms are gettiing really defined.

Aw, he’s so cute! I wanna baby! :stuck_out_tongue:
