Yes, you’re absolutely right. Because elucidator defended gonzomax from xtisme’s hyper-generic attack in this OP, he must also support him in terms of the last pit thread about him. Certainly, he must be willing to defend him against any other concerns ever raised about the guy.
This, I think, is really more of an entire pot-kettle convention. I think elucidator is right about the motivations of the posters in this thread. To borrow a phrase I learned at another board: “My god, it’s full of tards!”
It’s kinda humorous to see the guy who describes things he doesn’t like as “like what a gay man would do” complain that facts about the aging process are bigotry akin to Jim Crow and/or slavery.
And as always, the Twilight Zone bandaged woman in the hospital episode. Other people are stupid. Other people say bigoted things. Other people are unable to figure things out.

So XT’s spot on complaint about The Gonz’ relentless thread vomiting is bad, and you really don’t understand (just like Clowny) why people would object to The Gonz’ behavior. But people who object to Gonz shitting all over with his amazing stupidity, there are doing something wrong. Their motivations are just horrible.

Elucidator was the one who claimed that only certain types of people complained about gonzo. Since the last pit thread about gonzo was about his anti-gay slurs, there are two possible conclusions.
One, elucidator was refering to homosexuals.
Two, elucidator was wrong, there are several types of people who complain about gonzo besides right-wingers.

Not only do I not care who exploits that, I’ll readily admit that he’s a dingbat, and not representative (despite the best efforts of you and Hentor to make him so), and I’ll ask (as I did upthread) that we not be measured by his stripe.
XT and I have crossed swords a few times. The last was the huge defense he put up for Paulson and the bailout. He believed in it 100 percent with all the insults and and name calling followed.
Before that we argued about gas prices. He stated that there was absolutely no speculation in gas prices and that they were just supply and demand.
I suppose what I have going for my side is that he is always wrong.
Call me musheggenah, but I suspect the main reason people are pitting gonzomax for being a clueless moron but aren’t pitting Diogenes for the same reason might have something to do with Diogenes not being a clueless moron. Just a wild-ass guess.

For my own part, no…I don’t think it’s possible to make him less stupid. I started this thread without a ‘purpose’ (this is required?), but due to frustration and because I wanted a place to vent about this idiot outside of the thread I linked too in the OP. Myself, that’s what I thought the Pit was supposed to be FOR…but obviously you know best.
Well, I’ve only really counted 4 (one being the guy up thread who felt the need to say that this was a stupid thread and he was bummed he wasted his time slogging through it), and 2 of them are only acting like ‘tards’. He’s an arrogant, condescending, exquisitely hypocritical little shit. As a poster, he is utterly, absolutely, and wholly without any shred of merit. He is a skidmark in the underwear of the SDMB, and anyone who wants to take a few minutes to slap him around is alright in my book. If you want to fully understand the depths of my antipathy to the little cocksore, consider this: if I see a thread in which both Clothahump and gonzomax have participated, I usually end up thinking, “You know, that Clothahump isn’t really all that bad.” That is how much I dislike gonzomax.
Now, I suppose it’s too much to hope that the near constant abuse he takes around here might eventually drive the half-witted wretch from the boards.
