Beer Can E.D. and The Mother Yeast, The MMP

honeys-and-feathers gt

I tried to post earlier, but the boards are being weird. Afternoon, everyone.

Back to unpacking.

What’s all this, then? I step out for a limo ride, some sleep, and then some tea and lunch, and I come back to a clown fight, complete with pies-in-the-face and an oversized seltzer bottle! I hope somebody brought a sump pump, because I am not bailing this place out by hand. And … dog shavings? I’m not even going to ask.

Sheesh!

Heff&Roo - Yes, people saw us get out of the limo, and there were some stares; I mean, this thing took up two parking spaces. It was cool though. It’s a nice limo – I’ve been in it before, but just to take pictures for his brother’s company website. It’s well appointed with a bar, colour-shifting dome LEDs with some additional dome lights, radio/CD player, television, and so on – the usual limo appointments. I’ve never actually been driven anywhere in it, though. We actually ended up going to Krispy Kreme first (the wife had a hankerin’) and then we went back to Timmy’s for coffee. It was fun.

I wanna ride in a limo!

The MMP has been messy as of late. I don’t feel comfortable walking around here barefooted anymore.

Oh, something amusing: my date yesterday semi-seriously asked me if I was into girls. I was rather confused at first, but then he reminded me of my Facebook profile, where Scottish Darling and I have playfully set our status to “It’s Complicated.” :smack:

Ummm, LOUNE, I’m pretty sure **Bobbio **was wearing protective clothing.

By the way, the feathers came in handy in my special feather recycling project. Did you know you can make plastics from feathers?

Yeah, I’d say it’s a bit messier than usual in here, Hank. I blame LOUNE, of course. (I am an innocent flower.)

Had a BLT for lunch. Continuing with the cleaning and such.

I just had a split moment of panic wondering whether I needed a visa in order to enter Canada. :smack: Damn near gave me a heart attack. It would be deliciously ironic if I’d tried to enter Canada so I could get my US visa, only to denied entry because I didn’t have a Canadian one. Thankfully, South Korean citizens don’t need visas for tourism. Whew.

Just give me a US citizenship already.

I wonder if my earlier attempted post crashed the boards? If so, I’m sorry… :frowning:

My Scion has fresh oil in it and we had a so-so lunch at Chili’s. We’re waiting for my coworker to arrive and talk to us about our building plans. We’ve got 3 possible sites to consider. This should be interesting. And once he goes, I can go build a monster or 2. Or a dog.

I’m still mourning all that fudge flushed unceremoniously. Plus I want some chocolate. NOW, dammit.

<whimper> want chocolate…

Hi, all. I’m behind on reading, but my excuse is that Lapin Blanc and I have been running around all day, buying her essentials for her new home, like a good rice cooker (what kitchen can function without a good rice cooker?) and a digital camera (so she can make us jealous with lots of pictures of pretty mountains!). And now we’re home waiting for Steve the Computer Guy to bring my baby back in an hour or so – yay! And I have to say the price of drives has certainly gone down; he replaced my old 40 gig drive with a 160 gig drive that cost $80. Oy.

Good guilt-slinging towards Lapin Blanc, FCM! Sorry you’re losing a dog-sitter; I guess if all else failed I could bring my two Idiots down and dogsit for you myself. Personally, I’m slinging guilt at her about cruelly and heartlessly abandoning her doggy boyfriend; Isaac’s furry heart will be BROKEN, I tell you, SHATTERED by her departure! (Hey, I installed her guilt buttons, I know how to push them well. )

I’ll be on more later after I finish up a short chunk of a transcript so I can email it to myself – seemed like the easiest way to switch it from computer to computer since I don’t have a flash drive. I really need to get one of those one of these days. Anyway, don’t everyone have too much fun – and be careful out there, it’s a mite warm today!

I’m just popping in to toss a pie in anyone’s general direction, then ducking back out.

How you doin’?

What? Like anybody thought I’d pass that chance up!

Howdy Y’all! Been a sorta lazy day here at da cave, except for a trip to the farmer’s market. I got a watermelon, a bunch of okra, some corn and a buncha purple hull peas. I need to shell peas and get 'em “put up”. That will happen later. Supper tonight is steaks, sallit and corn on the cob (grilled!). I love fresh sweet corn grilled in its own husk. ::drool::

Ok, off to shuck some corn. I also need to get fully awake. We just had nap time. HEE! Ol y’all know who just walked in the study and gave me a big ol’ smooch!

Later Y’all!

I really don’t know why, but I had an immediate vision of you in nothing but overalls and a cowboy hat, sitting in a wooden chair and surrounded by corn husks. :dubious:

It’s the Typical Southern Getup, isn’t it?

Back from Mr. Lissar’s highway driving. We didn’t crash. Everything is fine.

I want dinner soon. Someone make me dinner.

No dinner here - we had a pretty big, sorta late lunch, so maybe I’ll have some watermelon later. Or ice cream. Probably ice cream.

My coworker buddy has been here and gone - he’s good people and we got a lot of good info from him about county codes and requirements. He’s lived here most of his life - heck, his family name is on businesses all over the county, including the garage where we take our cars. I like him, even tho I think he’s a bit insane - did I mention he has 4 kids!

It’s already after 5 - no clay work today. More for tomorrow, I guess. I’m being a bum.

Is it any consolation that I saw that post and thought “dude, where did that ass come from?”

Gee, Swampy, I never thought you’d settle for an inch and a half!

What? Like the rest of you filthy-minded preverts weren’t thinking it, too?

My baby is back! And she’s humming and whirring SO happily. Steve the Computer Guy does good work! And he charged me SUCH a reasonable amount, I was quite stunned. But pleased, obviously.

Okay, off to do something constructive. Like take a nap!

Woot, I got a nice plan and all the reservations set out for my roadtrip. We go every year or so to Colorado to go see Cheez_Whia and the rest of my fam, but the whole I15-I70 trip gets real old, so we try to mix it up.

This time, we’re going through Arizona and seeing Meteor Crater and Petrified Forest NP and camping nearby, then heading up through Four Corners and going to Mesa Verde. I used to live in the area so I went to Mesa Verde a LOT as a wee nip (one of my elementary school teachers was married to an archaeologist that worked there, which made me all sorts of “squee!” as a fourth-grade nerd) but husband hasn’t been yet, so I get to do the honors and take him to Cliff Palace. We’re staying at MV then heading up through the mountains at a leisurely pace.

Eeee I can’t wait to go! happy dance

That’s across, not around. And it’s 100 feet long.

It goes in hot and comes out wet, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

100 feet long? Ouch!
