The crowd in Philadelphia was salty and Bill wasn’t having it. He threw out whatever routine he was going to do, and instead just talked shit about Philadelphia for 12 minutes. I give you, The (in)famous Philly rant:

This isn’t quite a routine, but here’s Buddy Hackett telling three animal jokes on the Carson show. The first two are amusing enough, but the third, the “Duck Joke,” is hilarious. Mostly for the way Hackett performs it:

Wonderful delivery. The genius, of course, is how he builds tension with the whole physical part of the gag.
Other then not dropping the N-word, I don’t see a lot of difference between that and Michael Richards rant.
Back in 2019 Weird Al had a small concert series that came to our town, and Emo was the opening act. Unfortunately too many people had no idea who he was, but by the end of his set everyone was rolling in the aisles.
I was really disappointed that this routine wasn’t in his set. I first heard it on the Letterman show. One time when he was with Letterman, Dave asked him “Emo? That’s kind of a strange name.” Emo said, “Have you ever been to Finland?” Dave said, “Are you Finnish?” Emo deadpans, “No, I have lots of more jokes to tell.” Dave just about loses it.
Trigger’s magic trick cracks me up every time I see it.
Does it count if one comedian completely hijacks a skit?
