My selection is not very recent, but it is obscure, so it should at least be new to a few folks.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak the language that they’re singing in.

This one fascinates me. I like the song, and the video aspects are really trippy:
Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing.
Stretching the definition of lately, but two semi-recent videos that I really liked.
Ishikawa Chiaki - Utsukushi Kereba Sora De Ii - It’s not spectacular, I’ll grant, but it’s nice.
Tommy heavenly[sup]6[/sup] - Lollipop Candy BAD:heart: girl - If you’re not familiar with the artist, the video’s still fun through the level of sheer oddness. (And the great song.) If you are familiar with Tomoko Kawase, and the backstories of her Tommy february[sup]6[/sup] and Tommy heavenly[sup]6[/sup] characters, it picks up a whole new layer.

Just… the creatures. They’re cool. I like the look of the whole thing actually.
I have a feeling it’s become popular lately - not sure. Hope it’s new to some people, anyway.
Very interesting mix of stuff. Thanks for the links.
Aphex Twin’s Windowlicker - NSFW link.
It has a rather long, probably offensive intro, but the song is great and the dancing and story somewhat hypnotic.
Here’s a link to a version without the intro (but still includes one swear, if that matters), however the video quality isn’t as good.
Dang it, too late to edit, so I reply again, sorry: as cool as that video is, I should have supplied my favorite video ever (not just of right now): Dayvan Coyboy by Boards of Canada. The most wonderful usage of old stock footage, including the longest free-fall descent to Earth ever and some great surfing scenes, cut perfectly with the music.
I’ve just been reminded of Mindless Self Indulgence - Shut Me Up. There’s some minor language, and pretty much constant (but fairly cartoony) violence.
How about William Shatner and Joe Jackson singing Common People.
Sweep the Leg. I don’t know how recent it is.
