I too am puzzled by the inclusion of Groundhog’s Day. After all, it is, on its most superficial level, a romantic comedy – not exactly the makings of a “guys-only” movie.
Even though it has a female lead, I saw the Terminator for the very first time recently, and it really got my testosterone flowing.
I had a roommate once who used to watch “The Rock” virtually every other day; I think anything combining the talents of Nicholas Cage and Sean Connery would have to qualify.
But I have to agree that the all-time Guy Movie would be “The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.” I can’t think of anything else that really comes close to the title.
Haha, that movie is so ridiculous. I love when they start shooting each other with that massive sniper rifle. I dont know if I could sit through the movie a second time though.
I cackled like a loon when the cop realized he was about to be shot at with it and tried a Matrix-style bullet dodge. He got about 1/3 of the way down before vanishing in a mass of flame and molten steel.
I’ve got one that I don’t believe has been mentioned so far. A guy movie through and through, an action movie with a killer soundtrack, that almost any man who grew up in the '80s knows by heart. And if you do not have a heart of stone and ice, it’s guaranteed to make you cry a little bit too.
Of course I’m talking about Transformers: The Movie.
