At the moment, I think I should be able to make either date. I haven’t actually checked whether I can or not, but I can’t think of anything immediately. These things usually start early and finish late, anyway, so I’d be able to come along for part of it at least.

FTR, I’d say that the Silver Cross is neither good nor bad, but being able to book that side area for free makes it really convenient for meet-ups like this - and it’s so easy to get to. We’d be going there for the people, not the real ale or furnishings.
Are we on the 6th-7th? My coworker’s houseparty to celebrate both our birthdays appears to be in danger of getting moved to the weekend of the 13th…
I think we’ve moved to the 14th as it seems everyone prefers that date. Hopefully you’ll still be able to make it.

Having told my boss to stuff her guilt-control ways a couple weeks ago and refused to miss the Dopefest (my agent wanted me to be in Murcia to teach a course next week and the week after), it looks like I’ll be flying down to London on the 12th, spending my birthday poking around town (I’ve been there before but never got to see any museums, wanna go to the Tower or the British, whichever ends up being closest to my hotel I guess), meeting y’all on the 14th and then on the 15th flying down to Murcia…
