The LBB is quite like an insurance policy; both are accessed after their respective catastrophe(s). Therefore, store it in a lock box or in a vault at the bank, like you would with other important papers, and only access it when you have to.
I’m female & I think the LBB can be kept for however long anyone wants to keep it, as long as it is kept closed if and when the relationship becomes exclusive.
But honestly, in this day, how do people really keep a LBB, is it just a Facebook list, or some sort of phonelist on your cell or what?
Whether it’s a LBB or a prenup what you’re saying is “I’m going into this with the expectation that there is a reasonable chance of failure.”
You could amend this question by saying “When should I take my profile off a dating website?”
However I guess you have to look at it overall. For instance, does the LBB serve a purpose. It’s like is the guy also saving all his birthday and Christmas cards he has received over the years from his ex-girlfriends?
As for me, if I loved someone enough and wanted to keep my LBB, I’d be honest and if my partner wanted me to give it up, I would.

Heck, I don’t mind if mrAru hits the occasional strip club after work with the guys. He actually doesn’t now he is out of the navy, but when he was still in they would occasionally hit some club or another. I used to like going to the e-club at the Amphib base in Norfolk, they had 25 cent beer and 10 cent wings along with the strippers. More people went there for the beer and wings than the strippers.
That was my thought too, it’s like something out of an I Dream of Jeanie episode. She should dump him for being a huge cliche.
