Biden & Harris Inauguration Predictions

Does “it” refer to the White House or his sorry ass?

I’m good either way.

Ooh, we got a saucy one.

Free advice for the incoming inaugurates:

To avoid any threat of a MAGA sniper, have a secret swearing-in the night before with Justice Roberts.

Then the day of, have Jim Carrey (in aviator shades) and Maya Rudolph stand in. Oh, and Bill Burr with a toupee could pass for Roberts at a distance. Only weak point in my plan is that none of those three can promise not to off on a wild riffing improvisation.

Why settle for a B-lister? De Niro hates Trump with a passion, I’m sure he’d be up for it.

He could thank them for a job done.

Also FTR, I’ll say I do believe Trump will be at the White House and welcome Biden in that particular ceremony.

Are you serious? No way. He doesn’t believe Biden is the legitimately elected president.

Nominations for the most inaccurate prediction of 2020 are now closed.

It’s just a prediction folks. We’ll see what happens.

Regarding the traditional meeting at the White House, if one could see behind the scenes, I’d bet they would see Melania convincing him to do it.

Btw, I am currently looking for one of those sites where you can bet on politics. I seem to remember that the UK has a number. If anyone sees a betting opportunity on one for a White House meeting, please let me know.

Maybe Biden can make sure that Alec Baldwin has an invite.

Only in exchange for her giving up that revised pre-nup she forced him to sign with her “otherwise I won’t move into the White House and you’ll look pathetic” leverage.

Trump will invite Biden to the White House if Trump had workmen install a trapdoor to a gator pit, and he wants to try it out.

Not otherwise.

You’re channeling Jean Dixon again.

Perhaps, but I’m not sure what you mean. I do barely remember Jeane Dixon as a newspaper astrologer, but I’m not reading the stars here.

Again just FTR, regarding this most important of topics ( ), this is what I think WILL happen. See around 4:20 for when Trump, and eventually Melania, greet the Obamas. The main difference will be that Joe waits for Jill before ascending the steps to meet the Trumps.

Btw, in my memory, the sitting president and wife invite the incoming president and spouse to the White House some amount of days before inauguration day, and have tea and crumpets or whatever, which is what I was speaking of earlier. Turns out a little research shows that the tradition is for the first lady to invite the new first lady over to show her around the private quarters in the White House, and this doesn’t involve the new president. In no way did I mean to imply that Trump would start a new tradition, and invite Biden over for a few beers and a couple of games of ten pins in the White House bowling alley to welcome him to his new job. LOL.

ETA: In case you missed it, go back again and watch Trump salute the military men… Hey, dumbass, you aren’t president yet. You only get to be Commander-in-Chief after you are sworn in.

I’m starting to feel like Biden really doesn’t have time to waste on a proper inauguration, even if it was a good idea right now. Just swear him in at the door to the West Wing and then let him get to work. There’s too much to do to fuck around.

Hell, swear Biden and Harris in inside the door to the West Wing – while everybody’s waiting to cause trouble at the inaugural platform outdoors.

Sorry, guys, it’s all over. (It’s been all over for months.) Go on home now, Biden’s busy already signing executive orders –

[Trump holds rally at Point X.] “In other news, a noisy party was held at Point X today. Details are unavailable, but it is assumed to be in celebration of the inauguration.”

It would probably be considered impolite to thank them for losing the election.

They should do a blackout, but if there is a rally that day, they’ll probably cut to it every chance they get. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do a split-screen, with the Biden inauguration on one side and the Trump rally on the other.

This is a good idea.

In an escalation of inauguration security following the Capitol riot, federal authorities plan to lock down a massive swath of downtown Washington on Wednesday, six days earlier than originally planned.

Why it matters: The earlier shutdown is based on warnings about pre-inauguration demonstrations planned for this weekend in capitals throughout the country, as well as tighter security after the Capitol siege.

  • The Department of Homeland Security announced that the window for the National Special Security Event, which will involve tens of thousands of National Guard troops and federal law enforcement personnel, will begin Jan. 13, rather than the previously scheduled Jan, 19, the day before the inauguration.

  • During the expanded security period, many businesses around the Capitol and White House will be inaccessible.
