I liked it when Howard and Raj were snickering “It’s funny when it’s not happening to us!”
“It’s happening to us.”

And is Raj slowly moving up in his shyness problem? Even though he still can’t speak to Penny I thought he couldn’t speak at all in front of girls. Now he can at least whisper into engineer boy’s ear.
Anders would never cheat on Starbuck! I only tuned in because I saw him on the preview (though it was quite funny, I may become a regular viewer).
Michael Trucco may be getting typcast as a jerk. He was a rapist on L&O:SVU last week too!
Just the guys sitting around the table talking about what guy they would have a crush on reminds me of conversation my friends and I have had.
Also the “experiments for kids” gift was a joke since it was in reaction to her saying how much she loved science to be with her smart/hunk.
I love this show, I really really do
This show was pretty cool. I knew I recognized the actor, thanks for reminding me where it was!
I think that as good as this one was, it was still topped by How I Met Your Mother, but since it was one of the best episodes of HIMYM I’ve seen, that isn’t a slight on BANG!
Sheldon was also wearing bowling shoes.
Sheldon had bowled a career high 68!
This show is almost too realistic for me, but hilarious nonetheless.
How I Met Your Mother was funnier the first season. This one they’ve spent too much time on Ted’s romances. So for me The Big Bang Theory has been better.
Isn’t it kind of sad? I’m laughing at them for doing the stuff I do.
I really did love the HIMYM. Do we have a thread for that?
Sorry. Have a doughnut.
No kidding. I see aspects of myself in each of them. At least I’m better at Wii bowling. Barely.
For some reason, my life isn’t nearly as funny as theirs…
Anybody got any tips for getting Kaley Cuoco to move in next door? Maybe that would help…
Pretty much. Part of my brain thinks it’s hilarious while the other part is saying, “See! You’re such a DORK!”
Big Bang is #4 on Matt Roach’s list of the top 10 shows in the year end TV Guide. He acknowledges it’s because of Jim Parson’s comedic skills, the chemistry between him and Leonard & him and Sheldon, and that it’s “the funniest show on TV.”
I think the show has just gotten better and better. I’m glad it got a bit of recognition.
The second part of that quote should have been “between Sheldon & Penny.”
In its 2007 New Shows issue, TV Guide did not give Big Bang much hope. They said the premise was old and the characters too cliche. Even the experts can be wrong.
The characters are a rare case of the cliche being true to life.
Why? She seems just as plugged in to pop culture as the average non-stupid but not-a-physicist gal. I know plenty of women younger than me (40) who aren’t uber-geeks and are more into trends than I, but would recognize Leonard Nimoy.
How I wish CBS would follow NBC and ABC in keeping full episodes online (if only for a week or so). I was able to see this one on YouTube before it was pulled but as my Tivo is on the fritz I usually can’t.
Anyway, brilliant episode. I can’t believe Jim Parsons hasn’t been nominated for an Emmy; Sheldon can steal a scene when he’s in the corner not speaking. Unless it’s a magical flook this guy’s one of the first real comic geniuses to hit TV in years.
And am I the only one who’d take Johnny Galecki into my chambers before Dr. Studley? He’s just adorable. (Not to appeal to any prurient interests or anything, but for those who don’t know there are lots of nude pics of him on the net [frontal only unfortunately] from his Broadway debut in Little Dog Laughed- just google his name and hit images; his shortcomings are limited to height.)
She’s from Nebraska, not Amish Country! Leonard Nimoy is not exactly an obscure figure.
She probably knows him as the major recording star he is!
Google around & you will find ways to “watch The Big Bang Theory online”. hint hint
And add that info about Galecki’s nude pics to “Info I will never use”. L Now, when you find some of Kathy Cuoco or Sara Rue…
